Safe Neighborhoods Worth Staying When Visiting Cebu City

Cebu City is not the best place to stay on the island (noise, pollution, traffic). But if you want to explore its heritage, the San Nino Cathedral, the Cebu Heritage Monument, the Taoist temples and its lively markets, you will need to stay there for 1 or 2 days. The San Roque historical district is where the most tourist attractions and entertainment venues are concentrated. It is no problem to visit during the day, but it can be noisy and crowded at night.

If you are looking for a safer area, you can choose hotels in the Luz district or the Ayala district right next door. This is a hotel with a pool located in the Ayala district, next to a large shopping mall: Seda Cebu Ayala Center Hotel

Also know that Mactan is the island where the international airport is located. If you are only transiting for one night before flying to other islands, you can stay on this island without going to Cebu City. In fact, many hotels are located around the airport.
