When Traveling to Thailand, whether the destination is Bangkok or Phuket, it is recommended to buy air tickets 20-30 days in advance; because I bought 45 days in advance, I found that the air ticket price dropped later. It is recommended to buy insurance, preferably delay insurance, because generally the flight will be delayed for more than 15 minutes. If there is a delay, a corresponding air ticket voucher will be issued (valid for 1 year).

If two families depart from different destinations and arrive at the same destination, each family needs to prepare 20,000 Thai baht, and the individual Traveler needs 10,000 Thai baht. Because I originally thought that the Thai baht was checked at the Thai airport. My family exchanged 20,000 Thai baht at the airport, and I exchanged 20,000 Thai baht at ICBC. Combined with credit card consumption, the payment problem is basically solved.

1. Bangkok accommodation is recommended to stay in: a hotel very close to the pier or the subway. Bangkok boat ride is very cheap, the pier is very convenient, and you can take a boat to various famous attractions such as the Great Emperor and the Temple of the King, just like a water bus, every few minutes. On the contrary, we went to the subway station and found that we could not take the subway, so we took the boat the whole way. Key points: Bangkok boat tickets are very expensive, more than 100 baht; some are very cheap, less than 40 baht, it is recommended to choose less than 40 baht. The waiting time and Journey time of the two are similar. It is estimated that there is a difference in the type of boat.

2. Phuket accommodation We chose Patong Beach. It is recommended that you can book a hotel according to the location of the beach you want to go to. If you like quiet, choose Kata or Karon Beach, and if you like lively, choose Patong Beach.

Main itinerary guide

Day 1: Departure, Chao Phraya River night cruise: Taobao booking Bangkok airport pick-up: 9-seater car: Online booking of Chao Phraya River night cruise: Buffet included, can be cancelled before 12:00 noon on the same day. Suggestion: Never take a boat to see the night view on a rainy day. We booked an open-air view, but because of the rain, we changed to indoors, but we couldn’t see anything indoors, and the buffet was average.

Day 2: Buy tickets on site at the Grand Palace: 500 baht, children over 1.2M need tickets; we bought tickets for children at the beginning, but found that the inspection was not strict, that is, children don’t need tickets, only adults need tickets, regardless of whether they are over 1.2M.

Day 3: Taobao booking Bangkok airport drop-off in Phuket: 9-seater car, online booking of Phuket airport pick-up. It is recommended to choose a restaurant with a high Google map score for dining.

Day 4: PP Island + Dan Island (Island Hopping)

It is recommended to book one day in advance, so that the time is in time; if you book in advance online, you can cancel for free 4 days before the departure date, and 2-3 days depends on whether the boat owner can change it. If it cannot be changed, it is not possible (generally it cannot be changed). 1 day in advance and on the day of departure, you cannot cancel or change it.

It is not recommended to go out to sea on rainy days. We booked a speedboat. It rained and the waves were big that day, which made the speedboat too bumpy and the children could not stand it. If you bring children or the elderly, it is not recommended to go to Phi Phi Island, because the speedboat takes 2 hours to go back and forth (1 hour one way), and the body may not be able to stand it. Our children couldn't stand it, seasick, and kept vomiting. It is recommended to go to a closer island: such as Emperor Island + Coral Island.

The water quality of Phi Phi Island + Dan Island is still too turbid, and the bottom of the water is not clear. It is not as clear as Semporna when we went to Malaysia. If you can go to Semporna, I recommend it. First of all, you don’t have to take a speedboat for such a long time and it’s not so tiring. Secondly, the water in Semporna is clear and you can see small fish everywhere. It’s even better if you can scuba dive, as you can see all kinds of marine animals on the seabed (large numbers of schools of fish, corals, etc.).

Day 5: Watching elephants. Just brought the kids to watch; cooking elephant food, feeding elephants, bathing elephants.

Day 6: Charter a car for 10 hours around Phuket Itinerary: Hotel - Karon Beach (recommended) - Cliff Cafe (recommended) - Kata Beach (recommended) - Promthep Peninsula (recommended) - Rawai Seafood Market (lunch) - Phuket Big Buddha (not recommended) - Chalong Temple (not recommended) - King Power Duty Free Shop (not recommended) - Hotel.
