Admire the well-deserved Jeju Island hydrangeas in Jeju Island, South Korea. The pink hydrangeas are very bright.
Last spring I went to Jeju Island to see cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers, and in autumn I went to Jeju Island to see miscanthus and pink grass. This time I visited Jeju Island for the colorful hydrangeas in early summer. Our flower viewing itinerary is scheduled from June 13 to June 16. Some places have already passed their peak, and I feel that it will be more beautiful 7 to 10 days earlier. I went to many places to enjoy hydrangeas on this trip. Except for the Manor Blanc Cafe, which charges a fee, there was no need to spend money on anything else. In this article, let’s first record the hydrangeas taken at these free locations!Hydrangeas in Jeju Island are planted as ornamental street trees like cherry blossoms in Seoul and Busan. Even if you are not specifically looking for hydrangea spots, you will always see hydrangeas while driving, especially in Seogwipo City. However, due to driving safety, you can only appreciate the hydrangea flowers with your eyes on the main road or on the road with heavy traffic, and you cannot stop whenever you want. Only on sections of road with fewer cars and slower speeds can you stop to take pictures of flowers.
1) On the way from Dodu Peak to Jeju Museum of Modern Art
This is the first spot to take pictures of hydrangeas in Jeju Island. The pink hydrangeas are very bright and bloom super densely!
2) On the way from Namwon 큰엉 Coast to Pyoseon Beach
The hydrangeas here are the most common pink-blue and blue-purple hydrangeas seen in Jeju Island these days.
3) Marriage Pool 혼인지
Marriage Pond is not far from Seopjikoji and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. It is a famous free hydrangea viewing spot in Jeju Island. Most of the hydrangeas here are blue hydrangeas, which bloom quite luxuriantly. However, when we went there on June 14, the flower situation in the area of the Third Princess Zhuiyuan Temple was no longer very good.
4) Gwangchigi Beach (광치기해변) parking lot
When admiring cherry blossoms and maple leaves in Japan, we often say that the cherry blossoms and maple leaves in the parking lot are so beautiful. When I came to Jeju Island, I found that the hydrangeas in the parking lot here are also very beautiful! (It would have been more beautiful if it had been a week earlier)
5) Near Xihuali B&B
The two colors of pink and purple hydrangeas match beautifully.
6) On the way from the B&B to Xihua Beach
The entire road of Sangdaori-ro (상도남길) is full of hydrangeas. Unfortunately, my technical skills are not good enough to capture the continuous feeling.
7) Jungdalari Hydrangea Road 종달리수국길
When we were heading from Hado Beach to Jungdalli Hydrangea Road on Yeongil Coast Road (해맞이해안로), we passed a B&B (더하우스펜션). The path next to the B&B was full of hydrangeas.
8) hyunaewon botanical garden 현애원
현애원 The entrance fee is 10,000 won, which can be used to offset 3,000 won in consumption at the Easterly cafe in the park. Because we just finished drinking coffee, we didn’t go in. We only took pictures outside and left.
9) Dongbyeon Songdang Fairy Tale Village 동쪽송당 동화마을
This theme park will not open until 2023. It contains Jeju Island’s largest Starbucks, Ghibli store, restaurant, coffee, and bakery. There are many hydrangeas planted in the landscaping area of the park, and there are also many hydrangeas next to the parking lot. The hydrangeas here bloom relatively late. When we went there on 6/15, they were not in full bloom yet. If the hydrangea flowers bloom in late June or July I just arrived in Jeju Island at the beginning of the month, and I can go here to enjoy the hydrangeas.
10) Dabdani Hydrangea Field답다니수국밭
Dabdani Hydrangea Field is a hydrangea attraction recommended by many people. It is only open from late May to late June every year. The admission fee was 4,000 won last year and has increased to 6,000 won this year (cash only). Because we had arranged another paid hydrangea attraction that day, we did not enter here and only took one or two photos outside. (When I visited on 6/16, this place was already past its prime)
