Travel guide to Senaga Island, Kokusai Street, Shuri Castle and Naminoue Shrine in Okinawa

Okinawa is less popular than other cities in Japan, but it is also worth exploring! I have sorted out some content and hope it will be helpful to everyone. It takes less than 2 hours to fly directly to Okinawa, and you can reach the city center in 15 minutes after getting off the plane! It is very suitable for a spontaneous trip. Even if you don’t go to the outlying islands or play in the water, you can still have fun in the city of Okinawa!

🚩Senagajima
The coastal island next to the airport is known as the Japanese Santorini, and it is very suitable as the first stop after getting off the plane. There are super white buildings, sunsets on the seaside for taking pictures, and countless gourmet shops, each of which has a sea view! If you encounter a sunset day, you will feel that this trip is worth it!

🚩Kokusai-dori
The commercial center of Naha City, a tropical road is lined with towering coconut trees, various gourmet shops, Japanese grocery stores, gift shops, drugstores... It can be said to be a shopping paradise in Okinawa, and it is also suitable for shopping after dinner.

🚩Shuri Castle
The Ryukyu Kingdom Palace, built in the style of the Forbidden City, can be reached directly by taking the light rail in the city. The worst palace in history, because its wooden structure has suffered several fires, you can go and see it if you have time.

🚩Namigami Palace
A shrine built on a hill by the sea⛩, next to the shrine is the jelly-like transparent sea water and beach. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the city center~ The best thing is that on the way to the shrine, you will pass through countless Japanese streets, which are very similar to the scenes in Japanese dramas. Please prepare your camera!

⚠️Some notes
1. It is recommended to choose Kokusai-dori for accommodation. It is very convenient for eating, shopping, and taking a boat. It is not far from the airport. You can see the hotel in Figure 6
2. Kokusai-dori is much cheaper than Tokyo and Osaka. The local five-star hotel is only 800-1000 per night
3. It costs about 100 RMB to take a taxi from Kokusai-dori to the airport. The public transportation recommended is the Yushin Electric Railway, which is similar to the light rail
4. The express boat ticket must be booked online in advance. It is recommended to leave at 9 am and return at 5:30 pm
5. After getting off the boat on Tokashiki Island, there is a bus directly to the beach, 400 yen per person
6. American Village is a Hawaiian-style commercial street. I personally feel that the commercial atmosphere is strong. It is necessary to go, and you need to be careful when ordering food
7. Tokashiki Island is a good place for snorkeling, where you can deeply experience the underwater world of the blue sea, but there are no convenience stores and few restaurants nearby
8. The ultraviolet rays in Okinawa are very strong, so you must do a good job of sun protection
9. It takes 20 minutes from the airport to Senaga Island, and there is a direct bus
10. Taxis in Okinawa are cheaper than in Tokyo, but it is difficult to get a taxi on the island, so it is best to make an appointment by phone
