Boracay's red light district nightlife, and sexy, beautiful and open Filipino girls

It’s no secret that Boracay is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines (it’s often advertised as the whitest beach in the world), but there’s one aspect of this island that mainstream travel guides and blogs don’t focus too much on, and that’s the nightlife, or more precisely: the different ways foreigners can meet young and pretty Filipino girls in Boracay. So in this guide, I’m going to give you a comprehensive overview of the girl scene in the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, and where to find the best bars, nightclubs, massage parlours, etc.

One of the great things about going to Boracay as a single Western man is that you can meet attractive and open-minded Filipino girls who are here on holiday (and are in the mood for adventure), as well as a wide range of prostitutes who will ask for some cash to get you to your hotel, but actually know how to please you and make you feel good. In addition to this, you’ll also see countless sexy and beautiful Korean girls everywhere, but 95% of them are here with their boyfriends, so it’s usually just a look. But believe it or not, there are even a few Korean prostitutes who frequent bars and clubs, and Coco Bar in particular seems to be a place they frequent (see below).

Boracay Nightlife Overview

A quick note on Boracay nightlife so you know what to expect before we get into the categories: 95% of the island’s nightlife is located on White Beach. This is the most developed, beautiful (but obviously the most crowded) beach, and is where most of the hotels and guesthouses are located.

White Beach is divided into 3 “stations” to give visitors a sense of direction and to help communicate with tricycle drivers where to get off. Most of the bars, clubs, restaurants, and massage parlours are located between Station 1 and Station 2, in the middle to northern part of the beach. Needless to say, if nightlife is one of your priorities (and it is), you’d be better off staying near Station 2. No station is more expensive than the others, but obviously the closer a hotel is to the beach, the more expensive the rooms will be. That being said, let’s take a look at the different types of hangouts and places to meet Filipino ladies in Boracay:

Girly Bars in Boracay

While Boracay doesn't have bikini bars or KTVs like Cebu that hire girls to entertain foreign men, you'll find several bars that attract freelance girls. By far the top spot in this category is Cocomangas (pictured) in Station 1, Boracay's oldest bar (since 1987) and the most famous girlie bar on the island.

You can imagine it this way: dozens of girls hanging out at the bar, just waiting for someone to make eye contact and invite them for a drink. Since they're not employees of the bar, there's no such thing as a lady drink, you just pay the price on the menu (they usually order a San Mig Light, San Mig Flavored, or a Whiskey Coke). Unlike most other bars, you'd better come to Cocomangas early, around 9pm, because the best girls are taken.

The only thing that's a bit bad about this place is its setup: there's a big dance floor (it gets really lively around midnight, mostly with Western tourists), but there are relatively few tables and chairs around the bar, where the ladies hang out. So again, don't come too late or you won't be able to find a place to sit close to the girls.

Prices: There's a happy hour every night until 9:30pm with buy one get one free drinks for only 150 pesos, otherwise beer is around 90 pesos, spirits 160 pesos, cocktails 170 pesos, and buckets of 12 shots for 370 pesos. The girls usually ask for around 3,000 pesos for a short session, but if you get along well with them, they'll most likely agree to around 1,500 pesos. But that means you need to talk to her first and buy her a drink or two (or three).

Regular bars with girls in Boracay

Boracay nightlife Of course, there are also a lot of bars along the Beachwalk, especially near Station 2. Unlike Cocomangas, Filipino girls tend to go to these bars around 10-11pm. Before that, you'll find almost only Western and Asian tourists drinking, chatting, and watching the people coming and going on the Beachwalk.

One of the most eye-catching bars here is Coco Bar, which, when you first arrive, will make you feel like you're in the jungle, but the entire bar and furniture are very modern, and the red lights make the atmosphere very exciting. This is one of the favorite places for freelance girls, who hang out here while playing games and looking for clients. Next to Coco is Exit Bar, which tends to be crowded at midnight, but there will be more Filipino girls partying there, which means a mix of freelancers and tourists from Manila.

Prices: Beer is cheap as always, around 70-80 pesos, and whiskey and cocktails are about twice as expensive, starting at 150 pesos. If you want to take a Filipino pro girl back to your hotel for sex, the actual price is between 1,500 to 3,000 pesos.

Boracay nightclubs

Boracay Nightclubs In Boracay, the line between bars and nightclubs is very blurry. Some places even look like regular, romantic beach restaurants in the evening, but if you go back there at midnight, it suddenly transforms into a loud and busy open-air nightclub, full of DJ stages and laser shows. Epic is one such nightclub, probably the most popular nightclub on the island. One of the main reasons is that it's almost entirely outdoors, and even if you don't pay the entrance fee, you can still buy a beer at a nearby bar and hang out with dozens of people while strolling along the beach.

Summer Place has a different concept. It's also on the beach trail between stations 2 and 3, but it's all indoors and you need to pay an entrance fee to get in. It’s hard to say which is the best nightclub in Boracay because it depends on the night, so I suggest you walk along the beach walk and see which one you like, from stop 2 to stop 1, Club Paraw is located There, it's a pretty quiet area, mainly restaurants (opposite is Cocomangas).

Price: There is generally no admission fee, except for Epic (300 pesos, including 2 drinks) and Summer Place (300 pesos, without drinks). Local beers 80-90 pesos (San Mig Pilsener, San Mig Light, Red Horse), international beers 220 pesos (e.g. Heineken), whiskey around 160-180 pesos, whiskey JW Red 1,700 pesos, Jack Daniels 4,500 pesos. Prices obviously vary from location to location, but these are general price ranges.

Street/Beach Prostitutes in Boracay

If you walk along the beach promenade every night around 11pm, you’ll see more and more Filipino street prostitutes offering sex everywhere. Yes, I took this photo on this popular promenade, but it’s not like Pattaya, which means you’ll see 20-30 of these ladies instead of 100+. They’ll tell you “Massage, sir. Special massage, sex and blowjob, sir.” You can usually decide whether to take them to your hotel (make sure the hotel is guest-friendly) or take a tricycle back to their room.

Price: About 1,000-2,000 pesos (negotiable).

You don’t really have to wait until sunset to meet a beautiful single lady in Boracay—and you certainly don’t have to pay for sex if you don’t want to. If you read my blog sometimes, you probably know that I always recommend using dating sites as the best way to meet girls in the Philippines, and this is especially true in Boracay, where people pull out their phones when they’re bored the next day and want to find someone to hang out with.

And you might not even have to rely on that dating site. A classic example of this happened last month when I visited the island to update this nightlife guide: I was sitting on the boat in Caticlan, waiting for others to board, when a sexy lady in her 20s came over to find a place to sit. I smiled and offered my seat to her. Soon, we broke the ice and it turned out that she was an office worker from Manila who came to Boracay alone for vacation. You might think I was lucky, but the truth is, stories like this happen all the time in Boracay, where everyone is immersed in the holiday atmosphere.

You can even stroll through D’Mall and the little street shops, or ask a girl on the beach to take your picture and start small talk, like asking her if she’s from here, how long she’ll be staying, what she’s doing, if she knows a good restaurant – and then start chatting.

Transsexuals in Boracay

Boracay is definitely not a haven for ladyboys, but it is possible to meet some sexy ones if you are really looking. I will cover this topic in more detail in another article, but to give you a rough overview: three good places to meet ladyboys in Boracay are Coco Bar, massage parlors, and the beach, where they seem to like to swim in the northern part of White Beach near the Santa Maria statue.
