Barkley Park, 🌲Primitive forest with tangled roots, branches, and leaves hidden in Tainan City

Could it be that plants are more able to be themselves where no one can see them? Those tangled tree roots and branches waving wildly towards the sky are all saying that the power of life lies in disobedience.

Park name: Buckley Park
Park address: Lane 357, Section 3, Zhonghua East Road, East District, Tainan City (opposite to Tainan Municipal Cultural Center)

Buckley Memorial Park, also known as Buckley Park, was named in memory of the British pastor Buckley. It is located opposite the Tainan Municipal Cultural Center in East District, Tainan City, and falls under the jurisdiction of Chongming District. In the past, it was reserved for Park No. 18. Due to the land rights dispute with the Tainan County Government, the land could not be developed and became a garbage dumping ground. It was not until 2004 that with the efforts of the city government and local residents, nearly 40 trucks of garbage were transported out and built, a park finally took shape. It won the top 10 outstanding parks in the country, the first National Landscape Award, and the National Construction Excellence Award. In 2007, it won the "FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Awards", known as the Oscar Award in the real estate industry, in the public construction category. "Preferred for sure.
