Stay at The Moon Beach Museum Hotel in Okinawa and get a guide to deep-sea diving
1. The first tip must be written for traveling on the island. Taking a taxi is really too expensive! This time, we chose The Moon Beach Museum Hotel in Onna Village, which is very cost-effective. However, the only drawback is that it is very far from the shopping mecca Naha. Each one-way taxi is about 500 RMB, so the round trip is nearly 1k. Therefore, I strongly recommend friends to stay in Naha for two days for shopping and then stay in a place with sea view for two days.2. Pictures 2-3-4 are all sea views of the hotel. You can enjoy the cost-effective and less crowded sea view and beach for about 1k per night (non-peak season). The hotel was established in 1975. There is no room card but a key to open the door, but the facilities in the house are not old (renovated).
3. The restaurants in the hotel are not very delicious. After tasting several restaurants in the surrounding area, I strongly recommend the fried pork cutlet restaurant Shimabutaya Maeganeku, which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The pork cutlet is very tender and juicy. We made a reservation by phone directly in advance. The clerk asked us where we were from and made a handwritten poster in Figure 7 to welcome us.
4. Since we wanted to go to Zamami to snorkel and see turtles, the local guide sister helped us book round-trip tickets from the outlying island to Zamami. High-speed boats must be booked in advance. We didn't book one about a week in advance and chose to take a normal boat. As a result, we were very seasick and vomited twice. It is recommended to buy seasickness medicine at Lawson at the port just in case.
5. The snorkeling project in Zamami was selected as Kerama Kayak Center. You can search the official website on Google to see the project and then call or send an email to make a reservation. The tour guide was very responsible and patient. He guided and accompanied us throughout the whole process, and took us snorkeling until we saw turtles before returning. BTW, I forgot my facekini in the store and chased it to the port to return it to me!
6. This time, I booked a tour guide and a car in advance. The guide was a young lady who came to Okinawa from Tokyo. She was very dedicated and gentle. She refused to charge more even if it exceeded the time of the daily car charter (if you need it, please contact me for recommendation). Generally, the car charter can cover all the attractions on the southern and northern routes in two days, which is very time-saving, labor-saving and money-saving.
I am a loyal island check-in fan. I have been to dozens of islands, big and small. Okinawa can definitely be regarded as the top with high cost performance and good sea view!
