Michelin-rated restaurant, The Londoner Macao [Miao Thai], British retro style
Macau is a city that makes people fall in love with each bite, from the aroma of Portuguese tarts wafting from the streets to the smell of beef offal grilled over charcoal fire in the alleys of Taipa, whether you are holding a steaming bowl of pork bone claypot rice, Or sit on the roadside and taste wood chaff pudding, your taste buds will always be awakened, but when you think that Macau’s food only stops in the streets, you are underestimating this city. Some time ago, I went to Macau with my four-year-old foodie and ate at the Michelin-selected restaurant of my life - The Londoner Macau . It was really satisfying. If there is a "time travel drama" in the food world, this place will definitely be the protagonist. .As soon as I entered the door, I was first attracted by the British retro-style stable bar. I felt like a nobleman on horseback. The bartender served a Thai cocktail handsomely and neatly. Although the cup was small, the aroma hit my face and entered my mouth. Just a refreshing punch. While I was sipping, the waiter gave me a mysterious smile and said, "The real Miaotai is still to come." Then, I was taken to a hidden door. After pushing it open, a rich Thai style came to my face. The red and gold decoration, the lotus carvings, and the dense fragrance made me feel like I had traveled to Bangkok in a second.
The restaurant being selected by Michelin in 2024 is not just a boast. As soon as the first dish is served, the grilled Wagyu beef with red curry sauce and Thai samphire is a godsend. The wagyu beef is grilled to perfection, charred on the outside and tender on the inside. Every bite is a "fireworks show" of red curry and beef fat on the tip of the tongue. The samphire The subs are so fresh and crispy that one suspects they were just caught from the beach, and every bite carries the flavor of the sea breeze.
The coconut chicken soup warms the stomach and heart. Coconut milk and chicken have a love affair in the pot. It is as rich as a thick quilt in winter. One sip heals the whole person. When you taste it carefully, you can feel the original taste of the fresh ingredients. This is not just a meal, but more like taking a "global trip". The chef told the story of Thailand with his taste. The restaurant environment made me forget that I was still in Macau.
The charm of the restaurant is not limited to the taste. The waiters are smiling and patient throughout the process. The menu is explained in more detail than the travel guide. The presentation of each dish is exquisite. Even when going to the toilet, I can't help but sigh: "The restaurant is selected by Michelin, and even the bathroom is indeed very meaningful."
New Year's Day and Spring Festival are coming soon. Those of you who plan to come to Macau, take note. You must come to The Londoner Macau to visit. Go to Churchill Restaurant for afternoon tea to experience Alice's Fairytale, stay in a luxurious hotel, have a star-rated Thai meal, go shopping during the day, and watch a wonderful show at night to satisfy all your wishes in one place. Isn’t the ultimate goal of travel to satisfy both your body and your taste buds?
