Holiday Inn Krabi Ao Nang Beach, with restaurants, shops and supermarkets, great location
I came to Thailand for a trip and arrived in Krabi at night. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn on Ao Nang Beach for one night and then go to the Ritz-Carlton Hideaway the next day. Since it was just a one-night stay, I didn't have much expectation, but the Krabi Holiday Inn Resort was better than expected. The hotel is right on Ao Nang Beach, with restaurants, shops and supermarkets just outside. The location is still great. The IHG suite voucher is about to expire, so I locked a suite in advance. I guess no one uses the suite voucher here, hahahaWhen checking in, I was given a set of children's paintbrush maps and so on. I didn't expect there was this. The room has a good view, with mountains and sea, but it's a bit tiring to walk from the hotel front desk to Building 6, but there is a shuttle bus to take. The driving place is very steep and not easy to walk. It's much better to go up the stairs near the restaurant. The hotel has a swimming pool and a children's playground, but because it was just a one-night stay, I didn't experience it.
We went to May&Zin restaurant near the hotel for dinner. It took about 7 or 8 minutes to walk there. It was quite hot without air conditioning, but many restaurants here don't have air conditioning. The food was cheap and tasted great. Two adults and one child had shrimp and crab for dinner, which cost less than 30 US dollars in total. The taste was better than the Thai restaurant in Ritz-Carlton. The hotel's breakfast was OK. We had a simple meal in the restaurant at noon, which cost more than 100 RMB. It was still quite affordable. After all, there was air conditioning and we didn't have to go out. It was still quite hot outside at noon.
The price-performance ratio of this hotel is still very good. I exchanged it for 13,000 IHG points. If you just come to Krabi to eat and drink, it is a good choice. When I left, the children said that this place is good. Why change hotels? Don't waste money. There is a lamp and socket that looks like a robot in the hotel lobby. It's quite interesting. I plan to find one on Amazon to buy.
