Travel and shop in Thang Long Ancient Town and Sanshiliuhang Street in Hanoi, Vietnam

Compared with Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi gives me a better overall feeling. The activity area of Hanoi this time is basically in the old quarter of Hanoi. The old quarter of Hanoi, also known as the Thirty-Six Lines Street, is the soul of the entire city of Hanoi. Each street here used to focus on a specific commodity or handicraft, so the name is also related to it, such as Sugar Street, Fish Street and Clay Street.

Although the business content of many streets has changed now, they still retain the local architectural characteristics of Vietnam, and the dilapidated old houses look very old. There are also some French buildings built during the colonial period. Hanoi's Dong Xuan Market is the place where the fireworks of the Thirty-Six Lines Festival are most concentrated. There are snacks in an alley, and various vegetable stalls. Women wearing bamboo hats push bicycles here and sell various flowers and sundries.

There are also motorcycles crowded and chaotic on the streets, which are really noisy and headache. These constitute the most authentic Thang Long Ancient City. However, compared with the modern Ho Chi Minh City, I like Hanoi a little more. As one of the birthplaces of Vietnamese traditional art, it preserves more historical relics and traditional culture. I will visit Hanoi again on my next trip to Vietnam.
