Trail Cafe Restaurant, Google reviews exceeded 1,000, 4.4-star Italian pasta restaurant
I have been wanting to eat at the Trail Cafe restaurant for a long time, and it has been on my favorites list for a long time. Google reviews exceed 1,000 and the rating is 4.4 stars. It is also very close to the Formosa Boulevard MRT station! It is within walking distance and the business is very good during meal time. I made reservations in advance with my friends. It was previously located in Fengshan but has now moved. The interior decoration of the store has a European retro feel with warm yellow dim lighting. There are pasta, risotto, pizza, clay pot, light sandwiches, afternoon tea desserts, coffee and more.Looking at the comments from netizens, everyone recommends the wide noodles and tiramisu. You can add a set meal like we did and get dessert + drinks. The pasta itself comes with soup and bread, but the table is a bit small so we sat in a seat for two. The table was packed with set meals and dishes. Creamy bacon and egg yolk fettuccine / Bolognese meat sauce with Parmesan cheese fettuccine. My friend and I both chose the fettuccine. The noodles were chewy and delicious.
Although it is thick, it does not feel floury.
The sauce was generous and the noodles absorbed the sauce perfectly without drying out. And the cheese powder is sprinkled very liberally. They have a stronger taste. I think it’s delicious! Whether it's cream sauce or meat sauce, it's super rich. But it will become a little salty and greasy after eating for a long time. This restaurant is very suitable for people who like salty and strong taste. The bread and soup that came with the meal were also excellent. I liked dipping the bread in the soup and eating them together.
Main course + $149 (drinks + dessert). I wanted to eat caramel brulee that day, but the set meal was sold out, so I missed out. We ordered banana pound cake and chocolate. The pappardelle with carbonara is $250, and the pappardelle with Bolognese and Parmesan is $290. The chocolate is on the sweet side and the banana pound cake has a strong banana flavor.
