Bali Ayung River rafting and ATV off-road vehicle, with primitive and dense tropical forests on both sides
I experienced the rafting on the Ayung River in Bali. I booked a one-day tour on Ctrip, which included rafting and ATV off-road vehicles. It cost about $75 per person, and the car pick-up and drop-off included lunch, which was equivalent to $40 for this rafting project. The brochure in the store said that rafting cost $60. It is still cheaper to book online. The driver came to the hotel lobby early in the morning to pick up people and sent them to a local travel agency not far from the starting point of the rafting. After changing into swimsuits and storing things, we set off by car. There were not many people today, only three or four boats, and basically all foreigners from Europe and the United States. We are a family of three and chartered a kayak, accompanied by a local professional tour guide and boatman. This company should specialize in Chinese business. The rafting lasted more than an hour, more than 1 kilometer, with constant turbulence along the way, and countless reefs dotted all over the place, causing screams. It started to rain halfway through the rowing. We drifted in the rain. On both sides of the river were primitive and dense tropical forests. Coconut trees and banana trees were everywhere. Long vines of unknown plants hung down to the water. There was also a lonely temple standing above the cliff. The waterfall fell rapidly from a high place. The feeling was very wonderful. Children were not allowed to row, but it was okay to row a few times in places where the water flow was stable. Although rafting looks exciting, it is very safe. The water is not deep and you can't even reach your waist. Even if the boat capsizes, you don't have to worry about being washed away. Once the two kayaks meet, it's time for a happy water fight. No matter which country the other side is from, they will all be splashed with water.
There will be a rest stop halfway through the rafting. The tour guide will take a break, and then there will be water sellers to solicit business. It takes 10 minutes to climb the mountain road to the end of the rafting. Then the tour guide will call a car to take you back to the travel agency and serve you a hot bath towel. After washing and changing clothes, you can have lunch. The lunch is local pork chop rice and pumpkin soup, which is unexpectedly delicious. After lunch, the whole exciting journey is over, and the store will ask you if you want to buy the photos taken during the journey. Overall, this rafting trip is still very unique. Compared with going to several famous scenic spots to check in and take photos, this activity is more popular with children.
