Taipei Oriental Mandarin Hotel, the most simple hardware conditions but the best service
Comparing the three Oriental Mandarin stores in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei, the one in Taipei has the simplest hardware conditions but the best service. The hotel is located in the CBD center of Dunhua North Road, close to Nanjing East Road and Minsheng East Road. The location is relatively convenient, less than three kilometers from Songshan Airport and less than 4 kilometers from 101. Taxi and MRT are very convenient.
The hotel decoration adopts an elegant and modern European art style (the corridor is a bit eerie). The room is an old-money style three-piece suite: master bedroom, dressing room, bathroom; plus a separate toilet. A very plus point is that there is a small entrance hall at the door of the room, which hides a small compartment. This compartment can be opened from the outside to put items in, and items can be taken into the room without opening the door. There are single doors on both sides. This ensures both convenience and sufficient privacy.
Highly commend the service and detail management. From the welcome and concierge to the front desk and guest rooms, the service is timely and communication is pleasant. Can think of the most reasonable route/attractions/route for guests. Hong Kong and Singapore are not as good as this. Truly a human touch. Because there were children traveling with us, the hotel proactively asked if there would be an extra bed. MO bears and baby toothbrushes were also prepared in the room when we checked in.
The only drawback - which is common in all hotels that have been open for more than ten years - is that the toilets are still old-fashioned and do not have automatic toilets. In addition, some functions in the room are rather useless. They may have been a trend back then, but now they feel completely useless (for example, the TV in the toilet has sound control, but no screen).
As Taipei’s landmark building and hotel benchmark, Taipei MO has maintained Mandarin Oriental’s consistent standards.
