Cebu Heritage Monument (Parian Monument), 🤝the centerpiece of Parian Park
Cebu Heritage Monument or Parian Monument is located Cebu City, Philippines; created by Filipino sculptor Eduardo Castrillo along with architects Heradio Español and Ildefonso Santos. It is a centerpiece in Parian Park, which was formerly a Church of St. John the Baptist demolished by the Diocese of Cebu in 1875.This monument exemplifies much of history that relates to Cebu, such as the Battle of Mactan, the inauguration of Sergio Osmeña as President of the Philippines, and the canonization of Pedro Calonsod by the Roman Catholic Church. The statue combines concrete, bronze brass, and steel sculptures. The park itself is small enough to walk around in about 5 minutes. Though it's a Tourist attraction, there is little more than the statue itself to see.
