The Cebu Heritage Monument, also known as the Parian Monument, is a monument in Cebu City, Philippines. It was made by Filipino sculptor Eduardo Castrillo, and architects Heradio Español and Ildefonso Santos. It is the centerpiece of Parian Park, which was formerly the Church of St. John the Baptist, which was demolished by the Diocese of Cebu in 1875.
The artwork is a tableau that depicts several events in Cebu's history in the Philippines, including the Battle of Mactan, the inauguration of Sergio Osmeña as President of the Philippines, and the canonization of Pedro Calonsod by the Roman Catholic Church. The statue is a mix of concrete, bronze, brass, and steel sculptures. The park is very small and can be walked around in about 5 minutes. Although it is a Tourist attraction, there is basically nothing to see, just the statue.
