This is a puzzle toy originating from an ancient Indian legend. When Lord Brahma created the world, three pillars made of diamonds were raised. On one pillar, he stacked on the other 64 golden discs, from biggest to smallest. Lord Brahma ordered that the Brahman arrange the discs on another pillar, starting with the smallest one. Moreover, he insisted that no large disc may be placed on a small one and that only one disc can be moved at any time between the three pillars.
