Hanoi is Vietnam's capital city and the second largest city after Ho Chi Minh City, with 3,340 square kilometers in area and over 7.56 million in population. It lies to the northwest of the Red River Delta at the junction of the Red River and the Don River, and has an area like a triangle. This area exhibits borders with Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hong Yen, Hanoi, Hoa Binh, and Phu Du. Through the quiet meander of the Red River, it has become a heap of its very own history. Most commonly, this is referred to as Tokyo, Thang Long, Luocheng, or Jiaozhou. Go and check out Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, West Lake, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Empress Dowager Cixi. Surely there will be some attractions to see!
