The Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) is located within the Beijing Olympic Park in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is one of the iconic buildings of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The total construction area of the Water Cube is between 65000 and 80000 square meters, with an underground construction area of no less than 15000 square meters. The length, width, and height are 177 meters by 177 meters by 30 meters respectively. It looks like a cube shaped like ice crystals. Simple and modern. The Water Cube hosted swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and other competitions during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, winning a total of 42 Olympic gold medals.

After the Olympics, it not only continues to host large-scale water competitions and various regular activities, but also transforms into a multifunctional international fashion center integrating swimming, sports, fitness, and leisure, becoming a water entertainment center for Beijing citizens. In addition, the Water Cube underwent renovations during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, adding ice sports facilities including a standard skating rink and four curling tracks, becoming the "Ice Cube", continuing to serve the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and open to the public to provide ice sports venues. The design inspiration for the Water Cube comes from the "Water Cube" ([H2O] 3) project. The exterior wall is composed of over 3000 irregular bubbles. This membrane structure is the largest in the world. It not only has extremely high artistic value, but also considers the concept of sustainable development, combining environmental protection with art.
