I suggest you take Metro Line 2, which is very convenient. There's no need to live downtown, it's expensive. The recommended budget is $30~ $35 (weekdays) for a more comfortable stay. I just changed rooms two times in a row and I'm not satisfied. Personal favorite style: warm light, wooden floor, quiet.
1. Wyndham Changsha Meixi Lake Haofeng Hotel. 1 km from Culture and Art Center station, taxis/shared electric vehicles are available. Not far from juzi Island (both on Line 2). The bedding is comfortable with 4 pillows so you can sleep soundly!! The room is intelligently voice controlled, which is very convenient. There is a gym and a laundry room. There are many kinds of breakfast, among which the glutinous rice cake is a specialty of Changsha. The bathroom is clean and bright, and the awning shower has a large flow of water. The only bad thing is that the toilet is not reasonable, and the toilet is too close to the door. Overall, the cost effectiveness is good.
2. Yeria Hotel (Changsha Wanda Plaza Yuanpeiqiao Subway Station Branch). New facilities. Stylish decor and influencer style, suitable for photos and stay. The rooms are spacious with comfortable bedding (some rooms also have projection bathtubs) Smart toilet with roof and shower. A microwave and laundry are available at the front desk. Luggage storage is available after check-out. Let me tell you, the bathroom in the room I stayed in was connected to the bathroom and was transparent. It is highly recommended to take a walk across the Xiangjiang River in the evening. The wind is very strong and you can play in the water (the water in Xiangjiang is very clean).
3.Mcsrh Maijiashi District Hotel (Shaoshan Road, Changsha). This is the only inexpensive hotel I found in Changsha. The hotel is 430 meters away from Exit 1 of Yuanjialing Subway Station, about a 5-minute walk. This is a new one. Although the front desk is small, the rooms are very comfortable. Warm lighting, wooden floors. There's separate Wi-Fi, and the speed is good. There is a laundry room on the fifth floor. The room is relatively small, two people live in it will be more crowded, but I think for the ceiling has been very cost-effective, recommended!!
