I chose Chiang Mai when I came to Thailand for the second time! Having been to Bangkok and Phuket, it can be said that Chiang Mai is the most comfortable and slow-paced city suitable for living. You can spend 3-4 days in Chiang Mai like this:
🧳Preparation before departure:
1. The visa-free passport is really easy to go
2. When exchanging Thai baht, many places require cash. It is recommended to exchange more frequently and bring some spare RMB cash.
3. Telephone card. I bought the 100 million points to connect to this company. The network speed is very fast and there is a number for making calls.
4. If you only use a two-pin socket, you don’t need to bring an adapter in Thailand, just like in China.
🗺️Detailed route:
Day1️⃣:
Thapae Gate - a straw street - Chiang Mai ancient city - Chedi Luang Temple - ancient city night market - the north gate jazz Bar
(This day’s itinerary is near the ancient city, you can choose to walk)
Day2️⃣:
Elefin farm&cafe Elephant Coffee Feed the Elephants - Alice in Wonderland Coffee - Shopping on Ningman Road - a horse-killing chicken experience
(Alice is halfway to the Elephant Café. It’s about 25km from the city to the farthest Elephant Café, and you can also ride a motorcycle)
Day3️⃣:
Coconut Grove Market-JJ market weekend market-Walolo Market-Chiang Mai University-No.39 Coffee-Chiang Mai University Night Market
(jjmarket and coconut The Lin Market only has stalls on weekends, but there are no stalls in the Coconut Grove Market, which is nice to take pictures with. The very popular No.39 Coffee is at the back door of Chiang Mai University, and you can hang out with Chiang Mai University)
Day4️⃣:
Nianni Waterfall/Jungle Leap One-day Tour
(Nianni Waterfall requires a chartered car, about 55km from the city. For Jungle Leap, if you sign up for a day Trip directly, you will be picked up at the hotel)
🚗Local transportation:
Rent a motorcycle/rent a car/charter a car/take a taxi with Bolt app/take a songthaew
🏍️Public transportation in Chiang Mai is not very developed, and it is highly recommended to go to places not far from the city. Rent a motorcycle and stop and go without getting stuck in traffic. Our rental price is 250 baht per day. There are many car rental agencies near Ninman Road near the ancient city.
If you want to go further afield, you can choose to charter a car, which is more cost-effective than taking a taxi.
🏨Accommodation:
It is very convenient to live near Nimman Road or near the ancient city of Chiang Mai.
🥭Food:
The recommended food snacks and some interesting blogs are placed in the last few pictures
🌟🌟🌟In general, Qing Dynasty Traveling in Mai is very leisurely, and you are in a state of relaxing every day. Find a chill city that you like very much, relax yourself, ride a motorcycle to integrate into the life of the locals, and go to a few of your favorite shops every day to eat. My favorite food, really enjoyed it!
