Let's take a look at the event details!
There are 26 ancient Ryukyu monsters hidden in the "Experience Kingdom MURASAKI Village" park. The most famous one is the wood spirit (キジムナー), which has a big head, a naked body and long hair, and looks like a 3- or 4-year-old child. Visitors need to walk slowly on the dark stone road, carefully look for the monsters, and write down the characteristics, locations and countermeasures of each monster to create their own "Ryukyu Monster Map".
Cross-border cooperation with Aomori Nebuta lantern craftsman
In order to make it easier for Tourists to discover the existence of monsters, "Experience Kingdom MURASAKI Village" invited Aomori Nebuta lantern craftsman Fukushi Yuro to help make monster lanterns. These lanterns Traveled more than 2,600 kilometers from Aomori to Okinawa Yomitan Village, just so that tourists can appreciate the vitality injected into the work by the Nebuta master up close, and feel its shocking power and ultimate craftsmanship.
In addition, the park holds a "light projection show" three times a day, projecting images of ancient Ryukyu monsters on red-tiled buildings. Under the moonlight, the overall eerie style is even more evocative, allowing you to more intuitively experience the mystery and charm of Ryukyu culture.
