1. Visa
Except for Jeju Island, Korea currently requires a visa. Seoul, Busan, and Incheon all require a visa. It is recommended to apply for it one month in advance. Generally, Tourist visas are issued very quickly, and there will be a reply in about 10 working days. In addition to the visa, remember to check whether the validity period of your passport is more than 6 months, otherwise you will not be able to enter the country.
2. Transportation
After landing at Incheon International Airport, you can take the high-speed rail to Seoul, which takes about 1 hour. It is not recommended to buy a red-eye flight unless you find a shuttle in advance, otherwise the subway and bus will stop operating after landing at the airport, and it is really expensive to take a taxi back to the hotel (starting price is 4,800 won). You can go to CU or 711 convenience store to buy a T-money transportation card for about 1,500 won per ride.
3. Accommodation
It is recommended to book accommodation near Dongdaemun in Seoul, which is cheaper. Myeongdong is more expensive. Gangnam District is too far away. It is generally cheaper from Sunday to Thursday, and more expensive on Friday and Saturday. Hotel>B&B, garbage classification in Korea is very complicated, and staying in a hotel can help dispose of garbage!
4. Essential luggage
✅Power bank: well-known brands and less than 2W mAh are recommended
✅Conversion plug: South Korea uses German standard sockets, so you need to bring a conversion plug
✅Flat shoes: Seoul has many slopes, and the average number of steps per day is 10,000+. I really can't stand not wearing flat shoes
✅Data card: Buy it in advance in China, it's only 50 or so for 5 days, and some even give away conversion plugs

6. Things to note for Travel
🙏Check the exchange rate in advance and make an appointment with the bank (the exchange rate of Bank of China is better)
🙏It's very expensive to eat and buy things in Myeongdong Street, which is more than twice as expensive as other places! Typical tourist attractions
🙏 Itaewon and Myeongdong are both suitable for checking in at night! It's not that interesting during the day
🙏 You can get a tax refund on the spot with your passport if you spend more than 15,000 won at Olive Young
🙏 Leave the love seat empty when taking the subway or bus, and the bus will stop only when the stop button is pressed
🙏 The restaurant only provides ice water all year round! You cannot eat in the store if you take away food
🙏 Don't cross the road or litter in Korea, smoking is prohibited in public places! You will be fined if caught
