Girls! The five-day and four-night free Trip to Korea is over, and I’m here to share my thoughts and recommendations! I originally thought that Korea was full of Korean drama filters and oppa walking everywhere, but the reality is... there are surprises and failures! 😆 I just gave it to everyone to try, saving money and worry! 💰💡
-
1️⃣ Do Koreans really not know English? 😳
This really shocked me! 😂 Before I went there, I thought Seoul was an international metropolis and that basic English was comprehensible, but it turned out not to be! Many aunties in small shops and subway station staff don’t know a word of English! 🤯
But! Don’t panic if you don’t know Korean! ✅Subway station: Use Naver Map to search for routes, basically no problem! ✅Ordering: Many restaurants now have self-service ordering machines with Chinese! ✅Buying things: Knowing simple words is enough! 안녕하세요 (hello), 이거 주세요 (I want this), 감사합니다 (thank you) and you can survive!
⚠️But be careful! Koreans are not good at listening to English. Even if you say "water", they may still have a question mark on their faces! 😂It is recommended to use the translation A butt or body language directly, which is more efficient!

2️⃣ Are prices in Seoul really expensive?
This depends on how you spend it! If you don’t know how to save money, your wallet will really bleed!
❌ Expensive to the point of vomiting blood:
A cup of latte in a cafe is $3, and a random Korean beef meal is $10, which is a bit expensive.
Clothes in Hongdae/Myeongdong, any sweater in the Internet celebrity shop is $30, I dare not buy it at all
✅ Money-saving tips:
Eat at local chain stores! Fast food restaurants like "김밥천국 (Gimbap Heaven)" charge around $2 for a meal, which is fast and delicious!
Go to the Express Bus Terminal underground street to buy clothes, which are really cheap and good-looking! You can buy nice clothes for $5-10!
Bring a thermos bottle! The water in Korean convenience stores is super expensive, bring your own bottle, and you can get water for free in many places! 💧
-
3️⃣Is the mask-free store really a good deal? 💄
The mask-free store ≠ must be the cheapest! Some skin care products may be cheaper in Korean cosmetics stores than in mask-free stores! 🫣 For example, Olive Young/beauty roadside stores may have a bigger discount!
-
4️⃣Where is the most convenient place to stay? 💤 (Save money + avoid failure strategies!)
I really chose the right hotel this time! I used azgo to book a hotel, and I got a cheap price + cash back, which is super cost-effective! I recommend these hotels, they are really cheap and convenient!
🏨G2 Hotel Myeongdong (💰40 USD+/night)
✨The price is cheap, 5 minutes walk from the subway station, and the cost performance is very high!
💡Tips:
✅Live in Hongdae = shopping + nightlife, suitable for young people! ✅Live in Myeongdong = convenient shopping, suitable for shopping sisters!
