Retreat SPA, Try Massage for Children, Must-have experience for parent-child travel in Cebu

Retreat SPA is a massage parlor that I had done my homework on and locked in before I set off for the Cebu parent-child study Tour. Unfortunately, my massage time is on weekends, and I really can't leave my children alone. How can I enjoy massage with my children? Then I looked for parent-child massage! So I found this spa, which is located on Mactan Island, the island of Cebu International Airport.

For Cebu SPA, this one is considered to be medium-to-high in scale and environment, and the price is relatively reasonable. Because Cebu's tourism industry has been booming in recent years, many of them are expensive massage parlors that cheat tourists; I have heard of an outrageous price of 1,000 pesos per hour, and some people think it is cheap! Most people will choose Aroma Oil Massage, which is an essential oil massage. You can choose a favorite scent from the five essential oils they provide for massage. The cost for one hour is 490 pesos, equivalent to NT$320.

Massage for Children is my goal. It costs 490 pesos per hour, which means that the cost of a massage for three people, me and two children, for one hour is about NT$1,000! Some of their products are sold on the wall, including essential oil soap, coconut massage oil, fragrance oil, lip balm, mosquito repellent spray, etc., and their award records are also on the top.

Massage process

Here I will clearly list the massage process to avoid language barriers for those who have not had a massage:

📌Choose a massage item: Choose one of the five essential oils: mint, lemongrass, rose, lavender, lemon. Fill in your personal information: ask your basic data, where you feel uncomfortable today, what parts you want to strengthen, what parts you need to avoid, and whether you are in your menstrual period.

📌The masseur leads the foot washing: Before the formal massage, you will be rubbed and massaged for your feet. Some shops will use sea salt, and some will simply soak your feet in hot water.

📌Enter the massage room and start the massage: After washing your feet, you will be taken into the room to start the massage. Because the shop owner knew that I was with my child, they arranged a Triple room for me. After the masseur came in, he would start the massage from the back, so it started in a prone position. Basically, it is the same process as adults, starting from the feet, hands, back, head, then turn to the front, and then start from the feet and press upwards. If you don't like the strength during the process, you can ask for more or less force~

📌Tip: At the end of the massage, a hot towel will be used to wipe off the essential oils on your body. This process is very comfortable. The hot towel will be replaced continuously. I think three hot towels were replaced for the whole body! At the end, the masseur will ask you if you want tea or water before leaving, and then give you a plate or bag. At this time, you have to tip! Basically, you can't not tip. The fee ranges from 10, 20 to 100 pesos, depending on whether you feel that this massage is enjoyable~

📌Drink tea in the rest area: Put the tip in the bag and leave it on the massage bed. Then change your clothes and go out of the rest area~
They gave me warm ginger tea, which is just right for the body that has just been massaged, and it is very comfortable~

In short, this parent-child massage experience is a complete success! At least it helps me take care of the children and let me enjoy the massage, it's still worthwhile!
