I unexpectedly received a surprise from life! I booked a hotel on the day of my trip, but I missed the Beijing MUJI Hotel and couldn't book it a month in advance. I have booked the E-type, which should be the second largest room type in the hotel. The MUJI Hotel is more like an immersive brand experience space, showcasing MUJI's brand spirit, philosophy of life, and aesthetic style, and providing experiential opportunities. If you only look at it from a visual perspective, Four Seasons and MUJI are almost equal (I also live in Four Seasons!), MUJI's chances of winning are not high. But as a brand that advocates for Japanese minimalist design aesthetics, the significance of the existence of MUJI Hotel is broader in my opinion. The MUJI Hotel located in Qianmen Square, Beijing is a quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle. The public area of the hotel lobby is a multifunctional space that integrates the front desk, coffee shop, book bar, art exhibition, and product display. Bamboo and wood elements are widely used in space, and natural textures are used to create a natural atmosphere and brand style.

The guest rooms also follow MUJI's lifestyle aesthetics, with simple and understated furniture. MUJI's own products are basic hotel supplies. You can also experience aromatherapy machines, tape recorders, and other daily necessities in the room. The most important furniture in the room is a long table that extends from an open washbasin to a writing desk. In front of the table is a huge floor to ceiling glass. The floor is not high. You can sit at a table and overlook the bustling alley outside the window. Here is a note ‼️ You can ask the waiter to help you put the fragrant essential oil in the room. There are various scents to choose from. It is recommended to give only one small bottle as a gift for rooms priced over $150. It's a bit stingy to let others apply it (but the salesperson who distributes the essential oil is very generous and provides good service! If you want it to be thicker, he will spray it!). After opening it, I felt like I was in an MUJI store... The check-in guide prepared by the hotel clearly "tells" you which items can be taken away. ha-ha. Here are the complaints ‼️ Breakfast is $10 per person, with one of the Chinese, Western, and Japanese set meals including fruits, salad, and buffet drinks. To be fair, the experience is poor. I chose a Western breakfast based on my lifestyle habits. The taste of eggs is average, with only boiled broccoli as a side dish, and the seasoning of mushroom soup is also average (I suspect this is a semi-finished product packaged in an MUJI bag). There is no coffee in the breakfast room, only stale lychees and grapes. When I went to get my homemade yogurt, it disappeared and only appeared after I finished eating and left! People! Repair it! The sound insulation effect inside the hotel is average, and you can hear the sound of children playing in other rooms (I'm not criticizing the children for being too noisy, everyone else is using normal volume, but the sound insulation effect is poor); I woke up in the middle of the night from a mosquito bite. I am very angry, but I don't know who to blame. I can't blame the hotel, but I've never been bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping in a hotel before.
