Compared to the popular projects in USJ, which require 2 hours of waiting and more than 15 minutes of walking between projects, you can play 10 projects in Ikoma Mountain Amusement Park in 1 hour. It's so comfortable, and there is no trouble of queuing. Nara must be included in everyone's Kansai Tour plan. In order to avoid the crowds, we finally only stayed in Ikoma Mountain and Wakakusa Mountain.
Before going, I saw a post recommending the amusement park saying, "20 minutes away from Osaka", emmmmm... Based on our actual situation, I will update a few points for netizens who are coming one after another. The summer vacation is really too hot. I hope everyone will take fewer detours. The first cable car after the park closes at 17:00 on weekdays is at 17:09. You need to hurry up, otherwise you will not be able to squeeze in.
1. Starting from Namba/Umeda area, take the [Kintetsu Nara Line Rapid Express] at the checkpoint, and if you perfectly connect to the [Mountain Cable Car] when you leave the station, you can reach the amusement park in about 1 hour.
2. [Kintetsu Nara Line] You must check the express train (ref p10, p12) if you miss one you have to wait for half an hour (we took a slow transfer and missed one directly). You can't take the wrong ordinary train, it will stop more, arrive slower, and you may also miscalculate the cable car time.
3. After arriving at Ikoma Station, the navigation shows that the cable car to Torii-mae Station will depart in 7 minutes, and it only takes 3 minutes to change to the cable car after leaving the station, which seems to be enough in theory. But the premise is that you can't go wrong at all. Because I didn't see it clearly, I went downstairs and walked around, and caught up with the cable car (when I ran all the way up the stairs, the kind staff helped me buy a ticket and asked the driver to wait for me). I was really moved and embarrassed. Transfer tips highlight [Ikoma Station] (south side) exit the station, turn left about 30 meters and turn right directly. You can go directly to [Torii-mae Station] on the corridor bridge on the 2nd floor without going downstairs. This way you can transfer perfectly.
4. The cable car requires cash, and the transportation card does not work.
5. If you want to ride the real "sunset" roller coaster, which means to take pictures of the sunset, go on weekends. The amusement park closes at 17:00 on weekdays.
6. Whether going up or down the mountain, you have to wait for about half an hour if you miss the cable car. At the same time, Google shows that it takes about half an hour to walk up/down the mountain.
We almost missed the last cable car before closing because we left home late, transferred to the Kintetsu Nara Line too casually, missed a train, and took the wrong route when transferring to the cable car. Fortunately, we arrived at the park at 16:00 on a weekday, and before the park closed at 17:00, we rushed through a booklet of 12 projects (3500JPY/12 people). Uu who have plenty of time can also buy the free-to-play bracelet directly. This is the happiness of the top of the mountain. I hope you will like it too!
