After two years, I can finally go out and play again! This time, my friends and I chose the glamorous Macau. I did a lot of research before the Trip and had a general understanding of Macau's wealth, but I was still shocked when I saw it with my own eyes. I heard "wow" all the time.
Okay, let's not talk nonsense, let's start sharing experiences.
1. About costs and prices
Because we are departing from Beijing + Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the hard costs of transportation and accommodation will be relatively high. We all chose flights and hotels with high cost performance. In the end, it will cost 4500-5000. But we didn't buy a lot of things when we were playing, only souvenirs + food expenses, so the total cost is actually about 7000-8000/8000-9000.
When we were looking up the guide, we saw someone say that taxis in Macau are very expensive. After our actual experience, we feel that the perception of taxi prices varies from person to person. If you live in a place where taxis are expensive, you will actually feel Taking a taxi in Macau is not bad. If the price of the place where you live is relatively low, you will feel that taking a taxi in Macau is also very expensive. There are really many bus routes in Macau. If you don’t want to take a taxi, you can take the bus or light rail, which is very convenient.
The price of food and beverage is not bad. There are cheap and expensive restaurants. It depends on personal choice.
2. About exchanging Macau patacas
Because many guides I found said that Macau hotels need to give a deposit of 1,000 yuan, and there are many stores in Macau that support WeChat/Alipay, so we exchanged 1,500 Macau patacas after comprehensive consideration, but in fact the hotel did not collect a deposit, so I personally think that if it is for the hotel deposit, you can call the hotel first to ask if a deposit is required, and then decide how much Macau patacas to exchange, and then be sure to change the change, because the bus does not have change, how much is given is how much is given.
3. How long can you play in Macau?
Many people say that Macau The gate is very small and can be visited in one day. After this trip, I personally think that if you just want to visit popular attractions and check in without shopping, one day is enough, but [if you want to have more fun, it is recommended to stay for a few more days]
4. About customs clearance
We flew directly to Macau on the way there, so we left the country at the airport. There were few people on the flight at night, so it was done quickly. We took a flight in Zhuhai on the way back. Because it was the evening of the last day of the holiday, there were many people passing through customs, but in fact, the customs clearance was still very fast. We hardly used our ID cards during these days. The documents we used were basically Hong Kong and Macau Passes
In fact, many guides have explained this part very clearly, so I will not repeat it
5. About itinerary arrangements
Our plan is to arrive in Macau on the evening of June 21 and return to Beijing on the evening of June 24, so that the three days of the holiday can be used Come and play, you won't waste time on the road
If you take a plane to Macau, it is recommended to fly directly to Macau, because the Macau airport is built on the sea. The moment I landed, I thought I landed on an aircraft carrier (not)
The Travel plan is to visit the Macau Peninsula on the first day, Taipa Island on the second day, and Coloane Island on the third day
But before the trip, I looked at the weather forecast and found that it would only rain on the first day, so our plan was completely disrupted. We quickly modified the plan and the three-day itinerary became: go to outdoor attractions on the first day, go to indoor attractions on the second day, and clean up + buy souvenirs on the third day
The actual travel route is as follows:
Day 1: Ruins of St. Paul's, Our Lady of the Rosary, Senate Pavilion and surrounding areas - Successful people check in at Lisboa Hotel - Fisherman's Wharf - Parisian/Londoner surrounding areas - Wynn Palace
The first day is basically to check in at outdoor attractions. Fisherman's Wharf is really good, highly recommended! But because it was a bit late at night, and I was a bit tired from going to so many places, I didn’t go to the Wynn Palace cable car and went back to the hotel directly.
The second day: Coloane Island - Venetian - Churchill Restaurant - Wynn Palace Cable Car
We woke up the next day and found that it was not raining, but sunny. We hurried to Coloane Island, but unfortunately it started to rain not long after we arrived at the Black Sand Beach. We had to hurry back to Taipa and went to the indoor area of the Venetian. From the Venetian, we went to the indoor area of the Londoner. In the evening, we made an appointment for Churchill Restaurant (I only mentioned this restaurant because it is a more expensive restaurant we went to. I always feel that I lost money if I don’t mention it). Many people say that Churchill Restaurant is not delicious, but I tried it and found it to be quite delicious, so it may be different for different people. After dinner, we went to queue for the cable car of Wynn Palace. Fortunately, when we got on the cable car, we caught up with the fountain show. It was so shocking to watch it on the cable car. It is highly recommended.
The third day: Wynn Macau Peninsula Store Fortune Tree Show - MGM Casino - Love Lane - Souvenir Purchase - National Geographic Photo Check-in Point - —Guanye Street
Because our hotel was in Taipa, we left our luggage at the hotel after checking out, so the last stop on the third day was Guanye Street in Taipa. The fortune tree was a show I really wanted to see. Who doesn’t want to see a fortune tree made of 100 million gold? But we need to pay special attention. [The fortune tree is in Wynn in Macau Peninsula, not Wynn Palace in Taipa]. After seeing the fortune tree, we went to the casino of MGM. We shamelessly asked for free milk tea, but we didn’t really understand how to gamble, so we came out without doing anything. The rest of the attractions were to fill in the gaps and find places that we didn’t go to in the past two days.
Among them, Guanye Street seems to be the kind of pedestrian street that cheats outsiders in every Tourist city, so I don’t recommend it very much, but it may also be because we were too tired after arriving at Guanye Street, and really didn’t have the heart to stroll around
The three-day trip to Macau shocked me deeply. I felt like I had no concept of money
And the service awareness of the Macau service industry is really strong. I feel that I have been well taken care of. I am very satisfied and will go again next time!
Some people say that Macau taxi drivers have a bad service attitude. My personal feeling is that they are not good at chatting with passengers (maybe they don’t want to disturb/affect passengers or they are socially anxious), they only communicate about things related to the ride (suitable for I people), so I think it’s okay, but if you like to chat with the driver in the taxi, you may not be used to it.
Finally, I put some photos of Macau. It would be great if my travel experience can help you.
