Although Macau is not big, it combines the old city with historical and cultural characteristics, the magnificent casinos and luxury hotels, and is close to Taiwan, so it is very convenient to arrange a short Trip to Macau or a free trip to Hong Kong and Macau. I went on a two-day trip from Hong Kong to Macau. I visited the teamLab exhibition, stayed in the super spectacular Studio City, and took an open-top bus to enjoy the gorgeous Macau city view at night. I think Macau is so interesting. Let's take a look at my two-day and one-night trip to Macau!
Two day and one night itinerary in Macau
Day 1: Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal → Taipa Ferry Terminal → Melco Film Festival → Open top Bus → Tsui Wah Restaurant → Melco Film Festival Celebrity Gathering
Day 2: Xinghui Restaurant → Macau teamLab Supernatural Space → Melco Cinema 8-shaped Ferris Wheel → Macau Airport → Taoyuan Airport
2-day and 1-night accommodation in Macau
Accommodation in Macau | Melco Film Festival Star Festival
For two days and one night in Macau, we stayed at the City of Dreams in Cotai, which is about 10 minutes away from the Taipa Ferry Terminal and Macau Airport. There are famous Venetian, Parisian, and Londoner hotels nearby, and the location is quite advantageous.
The architecture of Studio City is very unique, with a super-large figure-8 Ferris wheel in the middle connecting the hotels on the east and west sides. This time I stayed there during the collaboration between Studio City and Sanrio, and the hotel was filled with cute Sanrio characters from the inside out, which really made my girlish heart burst~!
This time I stayed in the classic view twin room at Star Club. The oversized single bed was very comfortable to lie on.
In addition to providing universal adapters, the hotel also provides cookies, instant noodles, beer, capsule coffee, and drinks. It feels like home. Isn't it thoughtful?
Drinking beer in the evening while admiring the lit-up Eiffel Tower outside the window was so atmospheric that I wanted to stay a few more days.

Taipa Ferry Terminal
We departed from the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal by taking the Golden Light Flight and arrived at the Taipa Ferry Terminal in about an hour. After disembarking, we followed the signs and walked outside to the waiting area of the hotel shuttle bus, preparing to head to the City of Dreams!
You don’t need to worry too much about transportation when Traveling in Macau, because all hotels provide free shuttle buses at the airport, pier, and port. Not only are there many buses, but they also stop at many famous attractions, which is very convenient~
Studio City
After arriving at Studio City, we had dinner at the American Restaurant on the G floor. There was a convertible full of gold nuggets at the door, where we could go in and take pictures.
The restaurant's American retro-style décor paired with co-branded Sanrio decorations is super eye-catching!
We were lucky enough to be seated in a dog-shaped car, with seats for Kuromi and frogs next to them. They were so cute! If you are on a date with a couple, you can also dine outdoors with the Eiffel Tower in the background, which is definitely full of romance.

In the afternoon, we continued our exploration in Studio City. With the entertainment venue at its center, the well-connected exits led to a wide variety of shopping streets, food courts, and restaurants.
There is also a water park, an 8-shaped Ferris wheel, a children's playroom, a legendary hero science city, a cinema, etc. The space is so large that you almost get lost. You really can't finish playing here without 2 or 3 days.
Macau open-top bus
Today's highlight - Macau open-top bus night view Tour! We arrived at the Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal to tour the city~
The day before, I took a Big Bus in Hong Kong and listened to the explanations and enjoyed the scenery at a leisurely pace. However, the Macau version was different. The open-top bus drove very fast, and the local tour guide vividly introduced the luxurious Macau hotel buildings. The gorgeous night scene of Macau came into view. The most impressive thing was the cable car water dance show at Wynn Palace. I couldn't stop taking pictures.
Tsui Wah Restaurant
After getting off the open-top bus at the final stop, Galaxy Hotel, we headed straight to Galaxy Tsui Wah Restaurant for dinner. We ordered the God's Barbecued Rice, Rich Pork Softbone Noodles, and Smooth Beef Congee. They were really delicious~ Unfortunately, I didn't have room in my stomach for the Crispy Butter Pork, so I'll leave it for next time.

Xinghui Restaurant
Of course you can’t miss the breakfast buffet when staying in a hotel. It was close to Halloween, and the restaurant was full of pumpkins and skulls, creating a festive atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet at Xinghui Restaurant is very rich. In addition to Western bread, cold salads, Chinese dishes, and exotic cuisine, there are also the must-eat egg tarts and various steamed snacks in Hong Kong and Macau.
The restaurant also offers many freshly made dishes, including fried dumplings, omelettes, noodles, etc. The chef cooks a bowl of seafood porridge with all kinds of ingredients, which is delicious~

Macau teamLab Supernatural Space
After checking out, I walked to the Venetian next door to see the teamLab exhibition. The Macau exhibition area is very large, and there is enough comfortable space to take pictures slowly.
In addition to the classic "Valley of Flowers and People", "Crystal Universe" and colorful floating balls, I also like "The World is Born from Darkness". When you touch the Chinese characters on the wall, there will be corresponding special effects, which is full of Zen.
Other interactive projection games are also very interesting and suitable for children to play together. In the "Flip the World - Graffiti Nature" game, you can create your own creatures. There are also "tables for little people to live in", slides, and trampolines, so you can have a lot of fun.
Studio City Ferris Wheel
At the last stop of the trip, we returned to Studio City to ride the world's tallest figure-8 Ferris wheel, "Studio City Star". A Ferris wheel ride takes about 18 minutes. We took some beautiful photos in the carriage and overlooked the entire Macau city.
In addition to the regular carriages, there are also limited-time carriages with different designs such as Halloween and Sanrio.
Only when you see it with your own eyes do you realize how spectacular Studio City Water Park is. It is indeed the largest water park in Macau!
In addition, if you want to take a photo of the complete figure-8 Ferris wheel, it is recommended to go to the French garden on the 3rd floor. It is super beautiful whether it is day or night!
Macau Airport
Although we are not done yet, it is the last moment of our Journey~ We took the hotel's free shuttle bus to Macau Airport and bought some Macau souvenirs to take back to Taiwan. We saw the super dreamy sunset on the return flight. We look forward to visiting Macau again next time! |
