During the Spring Festival, I took my baby to the Egypt exhibition at the Shanghai Museum. It is attracted by the mystery of ancient Egypt. The experience is very fulfilling! You can choose to take the subway to People's Square Station and walk for 3 minutes from Exit 1 to Xiting. Remember to bring your ID card, you can quickly enter the venue after security check. This exhibition is divided into three exhibition halls. Each exhibition hall is unique, making us linger and forget to leave.
Exhibition Hall 1: The world of pharaohs has just entered, and a huge statue of a pharaoh comes into view. The child was immediately stunned. In this exhibition hall, there are many precious cultural relics of pharaohs. The exquisite murals narrate the myths and legends of ancient Egypt and the great achievements of French veterans. Thousands of years later, the colors on murals are still vivid, and the details of characters and clothing are clearly visible. There are also mysterious stone coffins carved with complex pictographic characters and patterns, each of which seems to hold the key to opening the gates of ancient Egyptian civilization. And the highest power and authority of ancient Egyptian law.
The second exhibition hall: Compared to the solemnity of daily life and the solemnity of the first exhibition hall, the second exhibition hall is full of vitality. The following are various aspects of the daily life of ancient Egyptians. From exquisite pottery, textile tools to small jewelry, they all gained a more intuitive understanding of the life of ancient Egyptians. The pottery with various shapes amazed us at the exquisite craftsmanship of the ancient Egyptians, speculated on the purpose of these pottery, imagined the living scenes of the ancient Egyptians by the Nile River, and felt their love and pursuit of life.
The third exhibition hall: The ancient Egyptians' belief in the afterlife fully demonstrates their faith in the afterlife. Mummies, funerals, and other exhibits allow us to understand their unique understanding of death and longing for the afterlife. Looking at this well preserved mummy, it's strange. By explaining the process of making mummies by the ancient Egyptians and the cultural significance behind it, we can understand their persistent pursuit of the continuation of life. Dazzling funeral items are placed around, from furniture to food models, as if constructing a complete living scene and allowing us to experience the rich spiritual world of ancient Egyptians.
Commentary: The entrance and interpretation machine can be rented for $4 each, introducing 80 representative exhibits. There are also AI glasses. In summer, I experienced it at Shangbo Dongting. I had no choice but to wear something foreign this time. If you want to learn more about ancient Egyptian culture and recommend real-life explanations, you can have a smoother visiting experience and be more vivid and intuitive. The exhibition is rich in content. There are various cultural and creative souvenirs to choose from at the exit, and those who like them can start. Think about it, spending a warm and meaningful time in a culturally rich environment saved on long-distance flights and a lot of airfare.
