Mo Rong Miao Village is on the way from Fenghuang Ancient Town to Zhangjiajie. Before entering the Miao Village, there will be a tour guide in the scenic area to lead you. He always emphasizes that you should not walk alone. The roads in the village are complicated. You must walk with the team. When entering the village, there will be road-blocking wine (rice wine) and folk songs. It is still quite an ethnic cultural experience. Going further in is the Beauty Pass. Two girls in Miao costumes hold red ribbons to block the road. You must take a photo with them when entering the village. The photos will be printed into photo frames at the exit. You can buy them voluntarily for 20 RMB each.

The roads in the village are very narrow and there are often traffic jams. The tour guide talked about some ethnic culture and house structure, and took me to a Miao family as a guest. The aunt made local green tea for us and then started to talk about the benefits of silver, scraping, and boiling water in a silver pot to make tea. Tea is 100 RMB/3 boxes, which is voluntary. The next stop took us to buy silver jewelry.

I was quite interested in silver pots. But the silver jewelry I bought here is basically 48 RMB per gram, which is more than 3 times the price outside. A silver pot costs more than 10,000 RMB, and a silver bracelet is about 1,700 RMB. I looked at it but didn't buy it. I was given an hour, but only one uncle in the whole group bought it. The tour guide saw that no one bought it, so he took us out. During this time, we bought some local specialties in the shops outside.

Chinese sausage and tea tree mushroom are quite suitable. Finally, there is the legendary special Miao family long banquet, which is like a big canteen, but it is a group meal and is not delicious. The environment of Mo Rong Miao Village is very good, but the village is very small, and it can be finished after about 2 hours of browsing. As for shopping, it is purely a personal hobby.
