The Assumption Cathedral of Jakarta (Indonesian: Gereja Santa Maria Pelindung Diangkat Ke Surga) is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Jakarta, located in Central Jakarta, Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, close to Merdeka Square, Merdeka Palace and Istiqlal Mosque. The cathedral was built between 1891 and 1901 in neo-Gothic style.
