Macau is the “paradise” city in my mind, built in an area smaller than Pudong Airport. "aradise" is particularly beautiful because it is a collection of extraordinary things. To use Duras's words to describe it, "When I was very young, Macau showed a face that was addicted to hedonism."
Next, let me mark some happy times on the travel map of Macau!
Macau Map
As shown on the map, Macau can be divided into two sides of the bridge. The Macau peninsula is more focused on daily life, while the other half is close to the "entertainment city". I have been to Macau twice in total. The first time I arrived by plane and went directly to Taipa to start sightseeing. The second time I entered Macau through Gongbei Port on the Pearl River. Although I arrived at the Macau Peninsula, major hotels at Gongbei Port have free admission. The shuttle bus takes you to your hotel in Taipa. You can take it even if you don't stay at the hotel. The whole process from crossing the border to arriving at the hotel is smooth.
You will get a small note when passing customs. This is very important and cannot be lost. Without it, you cannot check into a hotel in Macau.
The shuttle bus runs between the hotel and the port to provide convenience to Tourists, but everyone must ask clearly about the destination of the shuttle bus, otherwise it is easy to make an mistake.
Taxi-hailing in Macau can be divided into two situations. The first is to hail a taxi directly on the street. This kind of taxi requires Macau patacas. If you use RMB or Hong Kong dollars, the driver will ask for a 1:1 ratio; the second is to hail a taxi using the Macau e-hailing program. For a car, if you deduct the fee directly through WeChat, it will be converted into RMB. However, you can’t get a car anywhere. Most of the time, you can only wait for the car in front of the hotel, which is the first type.
There are many food delivery apps in Macau. The one I used last time was mFOOD. It was very easy to use and the money was deducted directly from zfb/wx.
Next, we will start “eating” in the old town of Macau Peninsula.
The environment of this restaurant is very average. When you walk in, locals are eating at Xin Yongbao Hot Pot City. OMG, eat it! The signature pig's trotter hot pot is very delicious, the oysters and abalone are all large and fresh, the salt and pepper corn even though I don't like corn made me eat several pieces, and the crispy large intestine is a must-try for those who like large intestine.
I also like the drink freshly squeezed sugar cane juice! The waiters were also very nice and would proactively remind us if we had ordered too much. When we finally couldn't eat any more, we returned the plate that wasn't served.
I was very full after eating, but since I came here, I must try Xingxiangyuan, which is said to be "one of the 100 must-check-in restaurants" within walking distance. Although I have forgotten which two dishes I ordered, I still remember that I thought it was an authentic Macau dessert and it was delicious.
There is also a Japanese drug store Don Quijote nearby. You can also experience the feeling of shopping in Japan in Macau! ! I saw a wall of cute socks and couldn’t help but take pictures. This Don Quijote has a large fresh food section, and the sashimi looks so tempting. Unfortunately, we were very full, but in the end we packed a sweet potato for breakfast tomorrow. It was delicious!
In the old town, I also had the Margaret Egg Tart, and the Andrew Egg Tart was in Taipa. There is a story behind the two most famous Portuguese tart shops in Macau.
In 1989, the British man Andrew opened Andrew's Bakery on Coloane Island in Macau. His Portuguese egg tarts were very popular. The original bakery was run by Andrew and his wife Margaret. In 1996, Andrew and Margaret divorced. It is said that the reason is that Andrew is content with the status quo, while Margaret wants to open more branches and expand the business territory of Portuguese tarts. With the end of their marriage, the egg tart business was divided into two. Andrew continued to run the old shop, and Margaret opened a Portuguese tart shop on the Macau Peninsula, naming it "Margaret's Egg Tart Shop" to play opposite to Andrew. The two shops are across the sea. It is said that Margaret asked Andrew not to open branches to the Macau Peninsula. For the same reason, Margaret would not open branches to Coloane and Taipa. In 2004, Ms. Margaret sold the Portuguese egg tart recipe to KFC. From then on, you can also eat Portuguese tarts at KFC. There is a long queue at Margaret's Egg Tart Shop. The hot egg tarts freshly baked are so delicious.
Margaret Egg Tart Shop is just across the road from the Grand Lisboa Hotel in Macau. The architectural appearance is very urban. The Tianchao French Restaurant on the 43rd floor was selected for three Michelin stars in 2009 and has been awarded it to this day. , is the best choice for anniversaries.
The restaurant needs to be booked several weeks in advance. There are more sets to choose from at noon than in the evening, so it is more popular at noon.
You need to go through two elevators to get to the restaurant. The 39th floor is the welcoming lobby of Tianchao.
I used to wonder why it is called Tianchao, but you will understand when you walk into the restaurant. It is located on the top floor of the Grand Lisboa, and the building is shaped like a bird's nest. Looking down from the window, you can see the whole city of Macau, and the Ruins of St. Paul's can be seen even more clearly.
The English name of Tianchao is Robuchon au Dome. The restaurant was opened by Joel Robuchon, a famous French chef of the century. I ate at Joel once in Tokyo. Robuchon (mentioned in the "Tokyo Girls' Illustrated Book") said that it is a restaurant for successful women if Tokyo women eat before the age of thirty). The most amazing thing at that time was the cheese truck, dessert truck, ice cream truck, candy truck, etc. , the layout is as beautiful as in a fairy tale, but the dining car in Tianchao disappointed me, it was a bit shabby.
However, the food is still delicious. After the meal package, there is a complimentary freshwater crayfish waffle. The shrimp filling is particularly sweet and delicious; French caviar is served with seafood jelly and broccoli flowers. Lian, caviar and frozen seafood are layered in layers to demonstrate the ultimate in "freshness" of the sea; the next dish I forgot what it was called. Sea urchin paired with scallops is a double treat, but the cabbage underneath is not my favorite. The main course is pan-fried French lamb chops. I don’t usually eat lamb because I feel sour, so I want to try it in Tianchao. After a while, it turned out that the top restaurant made it fragrant, tender and super delicious.
The coffee in Tianchao is also delicious. Have a cup after the meal and look at the scenery outside the window.
The next step is to Taipa.
The first is the Milky Way. Stayed at the Banyan Tree in Galaxy for two nights. I feel very good about Banyan Tree. The room is not only spacious, but also decorated in a style that I like. In the corner of the room, I put my doll in a small basin that originally contained oranges, and floated on this "swimming pool". In the end, I don’t know what purpose this device has except for viewing. Is it a foot bath? swim? Not likely, since the water temperature is very low.
After walking out of the hotel room, I passed by a performance at the Galaxy Hall, and I suddenly thought of a TVB drama, "Bejeweled".
The movie screening configuration in Macau is the same as that in Hong Kong, but there are only four or five cinemas, including one in Galaxy. A movie ticket in Macau costs It’s nearly a hundred yuan, which is pretty amazing. For movie schedules and theaters in Macau, you can check out the Macau Movie app.
As for the shopping experience in Macau, I will share it directly here. I have visited the Galaxy, Venetian, City of Dreams and Wynn Palace. My favorite is Galaxy. It’s relatively new and spacious, and there aren’t that many people there in the morning. Maybe it’s because I’m the first to shop, so it’s more fresh. In terms of goods, I don’t feel which one has the most variety, but Galaxy’s sales are quite enthusiastic. of. Secondly, I visited the Wynn Palace on my last night. I thought the Wynn Palace was very beautiful.
The famous Guanye Street is very close to the Milky Way and can be reached on foot.
You can give this one a try!
Their milk tea tastes very authentic. The coffee is really made from a clay pot. I think it tastes very good. My sister said it tastes a bit like instant coffee. But the most delicious thing is the pork chop buns. They are hot right out of the oven and the eggs are very soft. When I went there for the first time, I got unanimous praise from three people in the same party. The pork chops are also delicious! It was very special when we sat on the steps outside the store to eat!
The second time I went to Guanye Street alone, it was just after six o'clock in the evening. Shiji Coffee was closing, but I could still buy a bottle of clay pot coffee, which still tasted my favorite.
Mo Yi Kee Durian Ice Cream & Old Day Beef Offal - these two are also very delicious and worth checking out!
I also bought Andrew’s egg tarts on Guanye Street, and found a tea restaurant to try the oxtail macaroni in soup that my sister had been craving for, to experience the combination of Chinese and Western flavors.
I just happened to pass by the lemon car lotion that was highly praised by people. Just as the recommender said, the staff inside are very enthusiastic. You can try any flavor you want, and they will actively help you pick it up. I think you're asking for too much. Of course I was embarrassed, so I bought the signature lemon flavor, but maybe because I was too full, I didn’t feel it was particularly delicious, but the shape was cute!
Dine for one person at the Ma Kao tea stall, this restaurant is certified as delicious on the must-eat list. There is absolutely no way the smooth eggs are unpalatable!
For late-night takeout, I ordered Jollibee, which is not available in mainland China. The best thing about this fried chicken is the mushroom sauce. Even my mother liked it very much, but I didn’t feel like it. The food in Dubai is delicious.
I also ordered a cup of Macau milk tea, but apart from the logo on it, which is valuable for checking in and taking pictures, the taste of this cup of milk tea is very average, far inferior to the Hong Kong-style milk tea in tea restaurants.
Then we came to City of Dreams. I really wanted to try the Morpheus Hotel in City of Dreams. This design is really different. I took a photo of it in the lobby with a "click" Several pictures.
Continue shooting in the elevator.
However, I feel that the rooms in Morpheus are not as comfortable as the Banyan Tree. The living experience is still better at the Banyan Tree.
I have eaten at three restaurants in City of Dreams.
First of all, there is the best buffet in Macau, Mezza9 in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in City of Dreams, which requires reservation.
If you are i seafood or i lobster, you must go. The restaurant has five ways to prepare Boston lobster. You can try them one by one, including charcoal grilled typhoon shelter, steamed, etc., and various seafood such as flower shells, abalone, white eel, etc. etc. There are many ways to cook various vegetables such as okra, baby cabbage, kale, etc. You can choose boiled, minced garlic, fish soup, etc. After placing your order, the waiter will deliver it to your table. There are also daily Food stalls, dessert stalls, etc. The signature lobster buns are indeed delicious. The three lined up in the picture below are lobster buns.
But if you don’t have a big appetite, think again, because it was difficult for the three of us to eat, but the experience is the most important!
The second is Yulongxuan, an award-winning three-star Cantonese restaurant that requires advance reservation.
You can also eat at Yulongxuan alone. The first course is a complimentary appetizer, and the second and third courses are self-selected platters. You can try all the signature dishes here by yourself. All right, very considerate.
The second course includes emerald lobster dumplings, hairy crab steamed buns, fried dumplings with abalone sauce and sea cucumber, and a bite of Wagyu beef crispy. The only one that is not the signature is the fried dumplings with abalone sauce and sea cucumber, which I think is the most delicious; the third course has fried dumplings. French oysters, Huadiao eggs White steamed spot balls and black caviar suckling pig pieces, this oyster is really delicious, it is the most delicious oyster I have ever tasted; the fourth course is Hokkaido hairy crab hot and sour soup, appetizing and delicious; the last dessert is also free , those two cones are delicious.
I don’t often go back to restaurants when I travel, but if I have the chance, I would like to take my family to Yulongxuan!
The third restaurant is Sushi Kinetsu, a Japanese restaurant. The taste did not disappoint me. The Japanese chef is very friendly and talkative.
This Japanese restaurant puts less relics when making sushi, so you won’t be very full after eating. This little bear is quite interesting, it is made from angler fish liver.
The Karl Lagerfeld Luxury Hotel in Lisboa is the only luxury hotel in the world whose interior design was personally designed by Karl Lagerfeld and named after him. The legendary designer's last project. Not long after the official opening, I wanted to experience it.
As a newly opened hotel, the service is very good. As soon as I entered the lobby, someone came up to help me with my luggage, handed me water, and afternoon tea in the afternoon (although the fruit was not edible TUT), and The overall elements of the hotel are full of Karl Lagerfeld style.
But I don’t know why the window screen in my room is broken in a newly opened hotel.
The appearance of Wynn Palace is very beautiful. There is a cable car outside. It takes you to the hotel in half a circle and back to the starting point in one circle. Regardless of whether you are a resident or not, you can sit for free, but residents have another queuing channel, which is faster.
I'm sitting with my mother. When you go there, you can also experience it at night.
I also went to the Venetian. I didn’t take the boat, but I ate the Andrew’s egg tart. It was hot and crunchy. I loved it. I also bought a chocolate tart, but the taste was far inferior. Egg tarts.
An interesting thing happened when I was buying egg tarts. I was facing the checkout counter and felt someone filming me. When I looked back, I saw the following scene. It was motionless. I thought it was a sculpture. I thought I hadn’t seen it just now. Suddenly it moved and scared me Jump, it turned out to be played by a person. After that, he greeted me very friendly and let me take pictures. I think the people in Macau are so enthusiastic. From the salesperson in the mall to the ice cream lady to this actor, I was so impressed. I feel better about Macau.
I went shopping in London and Paris again. The Londoners have a very famous afternoon tea. I saw a lot of people when I went there, but I heard that it was not delicious. Not ordered.
Outside the Eiffel Tower in Paris, we took a few photos and saw the couple taking wedding photos. It was so romantic. I couldn’t help but take a picture of them and wish the newlyweds the best!
Studio City
I saw a performance in Studio City. I booked a hotel in Studio City for convenience. The facilities are very poor and it is usually quite cheap. I The price is inflated if booked the night before the show. It is not recommended to stay here. If you can book a few weeks in advance for a performance, it will be much more cost-effective.
The second time I went to Macau was before Christmas. I was very excited at the time. I told my friends that I was looking forward to experiencing the festive atmosphere. I saw someone comparing Macau to an "open-air Disneyland". If I were to compare Macau to time, , it should be an anniversary, if I compare Macau to a ceremony, it should be a birthday party, if I compare Macau to a grand event, it should be the largest concert.
Macau is an extraordinary paradise.
Coincidentally, my friend went to Hong Kong for Christmas. She said she would stay at a friend’s house for a few nights, a hotel for a few nights, and a few nights next to a street we both like. It is a youth hostel with a sense of story. At that time, I was reminded of Teacher Wang Anyi’s "Love and Love in Hong Kong".
Lao Wei came to Hong Kong again just before Christmas this year. Lao Wei loves Christmas in Hong Kong. He loves that it belongs to one person and everyone together; it is both lonely and celebrated by the whole world. It is a great excitement that accumulates many kinds of loneliness, and a great reunion that brings together many kinds of solitude. Christmas Eve is a colorful Hong Kong night, an exaggerated Hong Kong night, a typical Hong Kong night or an abstract Hong Kong night. This is a Hong Kong night when one day equals a hundred years, a Hong Kong night when a thousand rivers flow back to the sea, a Hong Kong night when the sea is like Wushan, or a Hong Kong night when the waves wash over the sand. My friend said she heard interesting stories in the hotel and wanted to share them with me when she came back.
I look forward to my friends telling me about the love and love in Hong Kong, so I will share the joy and joy in Macau here first.
