Many people who Travel to Kansai may not necessarily stay in Nara, but staying for one night is actually a good choice. There is a hotel among them, which opened in Meiji 42 (1909). It has a history of 115 years and has become a symbol of Nara. Landmark building. Over the past century, this place has hosted countless celebrities and dignitaries, and is known as the "Guesthouse of Kansai". This is the Nara Hotel.
The hotel adopts the Momoyama Palace style, which was designed by Tatsuno Kingo, a famous modern Japanese designer. Walking into the lobby, a sense of history hits your face. If there are many people when checking in, the waiter will first take you to a large lounge to wait. Here is the famous piano (P2) played by Einstein. Soda, juice and tea are also provided. Accommodation You can use it at will during the period.
The corridor leading to the new building is filled with photos of royal receptions, and the tableware used to receive dignitaries and thank-you letters from the palace hall are displayed in the window (perhaps to attract Chinese Tourists, the tableware used by the last emperor Puyi is on display here). . But... I might want to see the tableware used by Brother Tao or Mr. Deng )
The room is okay in Japan, but after all, it is old and the facilities look a bit "age-y". It is recommended to book when Traveling with children. In the double room in the picture, two beds put together equal a two-meter-long bed, which is not too crowded for a family with two children (P8-12). The hotel provides bicycle rentals, which can be used from 7:00 to 21:00. The price is 1,500 yen, but unfortunately there are no parent-child buses with child seats.
The hotel has a shuttle bus that shuttles between JR Station and Kintetsu Station. See the last two P's for specific times. Although it has history and star aura, its shortcomings are also obvious, including old facilities, no hot springs, and inconvenient travel. The hotel is on a small slope. If you miss the shuttle bus, it is recommended to take a taxi. Daily walking to various attractions is not as convenient as staying near the Kintetsu station...
But if you only come here to stay, you will be at a loss. It actually has a hidden bonus. , that is inside the hotel One of the two restaurants is the Japanese restaurant Hanagiku (P6) located on the second floor of the new building.
Personally, I think this is the best place in Nara to enjoy the sunset and city view (P7). You don’t have to climb the stairs for a long time or go down the mountain. You can just sit there and relax. Have dinner while enjoying the view.
The other one is the cafe (P5) as soon as you enter the hotel. You can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery at any time (it is a cafe during the day and a bar from 18 o'clock). Everyone is required to order here. The menu also offers desserts in the evening. If you don’t drink alcohol, I recommend ordering English milk tea with cake. The quality is outstanding.
So if you stay at this hotel, it is recommended that after visiting Nara during the day, you have dinner at the hotel at sunset, or go to the bar for dessert and some wine at 8 pm, slow down and enjoy the Journey~
