Colorful Dreams: An Extreme One-Day Tour in Macau

Macau gave me a very unreal feeling. During the extreme 14-hour clocking process, I encountered a lot of beautiful scenery and saw the extravagant and glamorous side of Macau. I used the long-lost travel notes to record some food and strategies. At about nine o'clock in the morning, I arrived at Gongbei Port. At the reminder of my friend, I bought Macau phone cards in advance and exchanged them for Macau dollars.



As soon as you come out of the port, you can change your phone card and take the free fortune car directly to the Grand Lisboa Hotel. You can enjoy the air conditioning in the hotel for a while, and then go directly to have morning tea. If you have a casino membership card, you can jump the queue and get on the fortune car directly. We arranged the casino in the afternoon and evening, where you can eat and drink for free and have a lot of fun.



The mirror at the entrance of Grand Lisboa is very suitable for taking pictures. You can walk from Grand Lisboa to Shengji Congee Shop to drink white porridge and have morning tea. You can also pass by several good photo spots on the way.




The street style in Macau is a bit mixed. It feels like there are architectural styles from Europe to China, from the 1990s to the recent ones. It feels like being in Chinatown in the United States. You can see some of the development trajectories from the 1990s to the present.



Shengji Congee Shop, white porridge is refreshing, the carrot cake is delicious, and the tofu pudding is a cold dessert, very unique. After drinking the porridge, I whet my appetite and then went to have lunch. This is also the only Macau restaurant with a queue. The peanut butter pork chop pineapple bun at Wenji Coffee is worth coming back for!



The peanut butter was sweet and refreshing, and the overall combination was good, not too oily. After lunch, we went to eat wonton noodles. This restaurant is known as the Michelin restaurant on the roadside. There is no air conditioning, but it is still delicious enough to make people brave the hot summer to eat.




The wonton noodles were very crispy, and the wontons inside were a little salty, which was just right with the soup. Then we checked in at some roadside attractions. The Macau Peninsula is really small, and you can basically walk to wherever you want to go.




A popular check-in spot. The camera takes good pictures. The color saturation is relatively high, which is suitable for the bright filter style.




There is a small museum behind the Ruins of St. Paul's, which contains some Catholic historical relics and paintings.





During afternoon tea time, you can take a leisurely walk back to the Grand Lisboa, eat egg waffles and drink milk tea.



Zexianji Egg Waffles, it takes about 20 minutes to make after ordering. I want to dive into their work stall and eat the crumbs that fall from the machine🌝



The signature flavor is the egg tart filling, and the matcha mochi flavor is also delicious.



It is said that Ten Ren Tea only makes milk tea in Hong Kong and Macau, and only sells tea leaves in the mainland. After walking back to Grand Lisboa, you can take a break in the casinos of Grand Lisboa and Old Lisboa, drink some water and enjoy the air conditioning.



I like the design of Wynn Hotel, which is better than Grand Lisboa. I was going to have dinner at Chinese Ice House, but they closed at 6 o'clock. I changed to Neptune Ice House, which was also very good!

You can take the fortune bus from Wynn directly to Wynn Palace, so you can visit all the Macau peninsula. Wynn Palace is in Taipa, and next is the nightclub Taipa Casino!




The order of opening a card at a casino is to go to Wynn Palace first, open a card for free and get 30 points for slot machines. With these points, you can get something for nothing. Hahaha, then take the Wynn Palace membership card and return to Grand Lisboa to open a card. You will get about 100 points, which can be used to play slot machines. Generally, the threshold for slot machines is relatively low. For example, the minimum bet for betting on the size with real dealers is more than 500.





Being near these hotels gave me a very surreal feeling, as if this was a place where I would never rest and could always be happy. We had so much fun playing slot machines in the casino that we missed the egg tarts we always wanted to eat, which was a bit regretful. Andrew's main store closes at 10pm.






I visited basically all the famous hotels in Taipa and tried the free milk tea, buns and coffee. Unknowingly, it was getting a little faster. Then we took the bus back to Hengqin Port.

At this point, Cinderella's magic failed. I returned to Zhuhai from a place full of bright lights and nightlife. The quiet streets and comfortable bed at night seemed to tell me that this day was like a colorful dream. Whether it was old friends I hadn't seen for two years or the eye-opening hotel, they all constituted a precious part of this dream.
