Although there are many delicious ramen in Japan, Ichiran is still my must-go restaurant. If you also like Japanese thick soup ramen, you must try it once! You will definitely not be disappointed. Of course, if you prefer a lighter taste, you may feel a little greasy and salty. And this is also a paradise for social phobia patients. Ichiran Ramen really has a super long queue at every restaurant. The Osaka Umeda store we went to had to queue for 20 minutes, which was very acceptable!
You need to buy a meal ticket from the machine when you enter:
Insert cash (cash only⚠️⚠️)
Choose the food you want to eat
Press once to get a ticket
Take the ticket and get the change
Circle the flavor of ramen you like on the paper
After taking a seat, just give the meal ticket and your flavor card to the staff behind the curtain.
Ichiran Ramen is really a blessing for social phobia because you will not see any human face throughout the whole process. You are in your own small compartment. Except for taking your meal ticket and serving you, the curtain will be opened. The rest of the time, you are alone. After serving you, they bow to you at a 90-degree sideways and will not look at you. Of course, if you go with friends, you can press the button in Figure 11 to fold the baffle and chat with your friends while eating.
If you have any needs or want to add dishes, just press the service bell. It is useless to press that button to press the entire call-out board. Hahahaha. If you want to add dishes, just give the menu and cash to the waiter. If you have some desserts, just press the service bell and put the dessert brand on "call-out".
If you eat all the noodles and drink all the soup, you will see the little surprise at the bottom of the bowl, which also means that you like their ramen very much. It is a silent appreciation for them! If you like thick soup like me, it is definitely not a problem. If you think it is too greasy, don't force it. Hahahaha, no one can see you anyway. Ichiran Ramen has many branches in Japan 🇯🇵, just search Ichiran on Google map.
