As the largest and most prosperous city in Vietnam, hotels in Ho Chi Minh City are not as cheap as imagined, especially in District 1 where many Tourists gather. It is not easy to find a hotel with high cost performance. When we Traveled, it was during the Spring Festival holiday. Hotel prices rose to varying degrees. After considering the location and transportation, we finally chose the Happy Life Grand Hotel & Bar between Pham Ngu Lao Street and Ben Thanh Market. It turned out that this choice was very correct.
First of all, the hotel is in a good location. It is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The surrounding area is very lively. It is very close to Pham Ngu Lao Street, Ben Thanh Market, and Ho Chi Minh Museum of Fine Arts. If you have good footwork, the Financial Tower, the Grand Theater, the People's Committee Hall, and Nguyen Hue Street are all within walking distance. There are Highlands Coffee, Xiao Hanoi Egg Coffee, Maison Marou Chocolate Flagship Store, MiuMiuSpa5, etc. downstairs, which can be said to be extremely convenient.
The double room we booked during the Spring Festival, including tax and breakfast, is about 350+ RMB. It is not the cheapest in that area, but considering its facilities and conditions, it is definitely a super cost-effective.
Although the hotel is not a high-star chain hotel, the door is still very impressive, and you can see the heart. The hotel is not big overall, but the facilities are very complete, the guest rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast is quite rich, and the restaurant is very romantic. You can overlook the financial tower from the window.
Finally, I want to talk about the service. We arrived in Ho Chi Minh in the early morning. It was around 7 o'clock in the morning when we arrived at the hotel. The room was not ready yet. The front desk lady who spoke good English helped us store our luggage first, and took us to the bathroom on the first floor to wash up after we just got off the plane. After we played in Ho Chi Minh for a day, when we returned to the hotel to get the room card at night, the luggage had been sent to our room, and the favorability was instantly full.
Later, after we went to other cities to play for a few days, we needed to return to Ho Chi Minh to take a flight back to China. But because the flight took off late at night, there was a lot of free time in between. I thought about going to Ho Chi Minh City to stroll around again, but it was really inconvenient to drag the luggage, so I came back here with a try-and-see attitude to ask if they could help us store our luggage for half a day. In fact, this is not what the hotel should do. It is reasonable for them to refuse, and we will not have any complaints. Unexpectedly, the front desk lady agreed immediately and let us continue to use the restroom in the lobby to wash up. I was really touched.
For this thoughtful service, I also want to recommend it with full stars!
