Just came back from a Trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Can Ho Chi Minh City be explored in just half a day? That's right! Ho Chi Minh attractions are much closer than I thought. Half a day of city hiking and taking nice photos is perfect. All the popular attractions are arranged, and you can basically walk there! The attractions are basically only a few hundred meters apart, and there is an attraction every few steps.
Route: Tan Dinh Church (Pink Church) → Reunification Palace → Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral → Bookstore Street → Central Post Office → City Hall → Ho Chi Minh Opera House → Coffee Apartment → Ben Thanh Market → Ho Chi Minh Museum of Fine Arts → Pham Ngu Lao Street
⚠️Some updated tips:
1. The half-day here refers to the time for taking pictures. If you want to visit the Reunification Palace to learn about Vietnamese history🇻🇳, take pictures at the art museum, take a break at the coffee apartment, buy things at Ben Thanh Market, and drink beer on Pham Ngu Lao Street, then one day is enough~
2. The Pink Church is not open on weekends. I don’t recommend the popular Cong ca phe coffee next to it if you want to take pictures, because the terrace has an ugly shelf, which is not as good as before, but the coffee is really delicious. If you want to take photos, the burger shop opposite has a better view~ (I will write a separate note later)
3. The photos taken at the Ho Chi Minh Museum are indeed good, and the artworks are a little weird. In fact, no tickets are required~
4. Pham Ngu Lao Street is lively at night. It is a street of bars and nightclubs. Girls should not go alone at night. It is a bit dangerous~
5. The public security in Ho Chi Minh is better than I thought. There are fewer motorcycle gangs than expected. The attitude of 🇻🇳 people towards 🇨🇳 people is also quite good. There are more zgr in Ho Chi Minh than in Da Nang and Nha Trang, but try not to look at your phone or take photos when walking on the roadside. It is best to hang a bracelet on your phone. If you really need to use it, you should go to the inside of the road and hold it tightly~
