King Rama VII built a summer residence for himself and the Queen in Hua Hin, which later became a holiday resort for successive Thai kings. The construction of this palace began in 1926 and was completed in 1933. The entire palace is based on Spanish architecture to match the tropical climate of Hua Hin. There are three large bedrooms in the palace, namely Tamnak Plukkasem in the north and Tamnak Noi in the south. The largest Phra Tamank is between the two bedrooms. The enTourage of the royal family and nobles sleeps in some small bungalows. Tel: (66-32)511155. Tickets are 30 baht/person, 9:00-16:00 every day, closed on Wednesdays. It is estimated that it will take 1-2 hours to visit here.
