Cebu Resort Hotel, Shangri-La Mactan Island, Experience Luxury Sea View Room

Shangri-La on Mactan Island, also known as Shangri-La on Mactan Island, is only a 15-minute drive from the airport and can be easily reached by grab. This hotel should be one of the better ones in Cebu City. The room rate is more than 300 US dollars all year round, and it has to be booked in advance. I really like it after a five-day and four-night experience.

There are anti-riot dogs for security checks when entering the hotel. After checking in, the front desk leads you to the room and introduces the hotel's facilities and restaurants. The room we stayed in was the main building deluxe sea view room, which looked beautiful from the balcony. The room area and decoration are standardized by Shangri-La (the main building and the ocean building are decorated differently). Glass bottles of water are replenished every day, and the welcome fruit is a Philippine specialty pastry + three mangoes. Going forward from the main building is the ocean building. I personally think that the decoration is still better in the main building, but the ocean building has a full sea view room, an exclusive swimming pool, and breakfast at Aqua.

The sea of ​​the hotel is the fun point for vacationing here. The sea water is crystal clear. There are many large white fish in the sea water near the beach. Buy a bottle of fish food in the hotel, and there will be a group of fish around you. If you go snorkeling, you can see a lot of corals and fish, even clownfish. In addition, water sports are also available (for a fee). There is a bar on the beach where you can order drinks and food. The price is not expensive. Order a shake and lean on a lounge chair to look at the sun and the sea, and you will feel like you are on vacation.

There are many people at the breakfast buffet in the main building of the hotel, and you have to queue up. The breakfast buffet in the Ocean Building (Italian restaurant in the evening) Aqua has fewer people and better views. The view of the Deluxe Pavilion is not as good as Aqua, but there are the least people for breakfast, no need to wait for a table, and there is an a la carte menu. For dinner, we went to Aqua, the Wednesday Korean cuisine theme buffet dinner in the main building, and the seafood restaurant. Aqua has Italian food, the pizza oven is freshly baked and crispy, and the pasta is authentic and cost-effective.

The Korean cuisine buffet restaurant is a pure Korean-style theme buffet. Many Koreans are eating there, and there are waiters performing dances to Korean songs. The taste is good and it is okay to eat casually. It is only available for dinner every Wednesday. The seafood restaurant is half restaurant and half bar. It is located by the hotel pier, very close to the sea and has a sea view terrace. The view is good and there are many open-air seats. I don’t know much about the food and it feels average, but the drinks are great and the view is good. These three restaurants have one thing in common: the waiters are very, very good and the training is very good.

The famous chi spa is on the other side of the hotel lobby. It is a separate villa area dedicated to spa. The environment is quiet and beautiful, and it is worth experiencing. The sea of ​​Shangri-La in Mactan Island is clean and beautiful. Although it cannot be called the best sea in the Philippines, it is a superior one in terms of comprehensive accommodation conditions. Many places in the Philippines with better sea water are not as good as here, and they also need car and ship transportation. In comparison, Shangri-La is close to the airport and has good accommodation conditions. It is right to choose here for lazy people to vacation.
