To see the strange street scenes in Osaka, in addition to Dotonbori, the Shinsekai Tsutenkaku business district is also a popular choice. In particular, the 103-meter-high "Tsutenkaku" is not only one of Osaka's landmark buildings, but also regarded as the spiritual symbol of Osaka. It has appeared in various movies and TV series.

🎏 Attractions
The large retro signboard has a nostalgic filter of the Showa era, and the scenes in the comics are reflected in reality, which can give you a glimpse of the strong Osaka style. There are many restaurants and eateries on the commercial street, mainly serving popular delicacies such as fried skewers, takoyaki, izakaya, udon noodles, and conveyor belt sushi.

📷 Shooting tips
You can locate the "World Hot Springs". You can take a panoramic view of Tsutenkaku and Hondori Commercial Street on the steps in front of the hotel. It is better to use a telephoto lens here. Walk to the center of the commercial street and use a wide angle to shoot the Tsutenkaku in the "cracks" of the building. You can take a bird's-eye view of the Tsutenkaku from the Abeno Observation Deck. In addition to taking photos on the street, I recommend climbing the Tsutenkaku

🗼How to play Tsutenkaku - 2 observation decks + 1 big slide

General observation deck: located indoors, you can walk around 360 degrees, the view height is relatively average, we went to the special observation deck above. But surprisingly, you can get a stamp here.

Special outdoor observation deck: all outdoor + hollow guardrails have a strong sense of immersion, and there is no obstruction to taking photos. There are surprisingly few tourists. The most attractive thing is the plank road suspended in the air, and the ground at the end is a piece of glass. It is recommended to go to the upper floor and take pictures down, which will feel more, and the city is completely under your feet.

Tower slide: a must-go with children, it is very fun, and you have to go to Tsutenkaku for this. It falls from a height of 22 meters in 10 seconds, and screams come from the pipe from time to time. You can't bring anything to play the slide, so you can't take pictures with a camera, but the official will help you take pictures at the upper and lower points, and it is free at the exit.

Note: Tongti Pavilion is relatively old, the up and down routes are relatively confusing, and there is no elevator that runs through several points. The two observatories and the big slide cannot be played in succession, and their entrances are all on B1, which means that after visiting the observatory, you have to return to B1 and queue for the slide. Of course, you can also slide first and then the observatory.

📍Address: Ebisucho-Higashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka City
🚗Transportation: Subway Sakaisuji Line "Ebisucho Station"
🎫Tickets: General observatory: 1000 for adults, 500 for children/General observatory + special observatory: 1300 for adults, 700 for children/slide: 1000 for adults, 500 for children.
⏰Opening hours of the observatory: 10:00-22:00 (last admission 19:30)
