The Tower of Hanoi, using which a certain set of induction principles is taught, is an educative puzzle from an old Indian fable. As per the fable, when Brahma made the world, he erected three diamond towers, and upon the first was stacked 64 golden discs, organized from the biggest to the smallest. He instructed the Brahman to transfer the discs to the second pillar according to size, and forbade large discs to be placed above small ones and also allowed only one movement at one time.
