Stay B Hotel in Myeongdong, Seoul. 🏠A high-value hotel with convenient transportation

The most popular places to stay in Seoul are Myeongdong, Dongdaemun and Hongdae. We chose two hotels in Myeongdong for this cherry blossom viewing Trip. The first one is Stay B Hotel, which is a 3-4 minute walk from Line 2, 3, and 4, saving time on transfers. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Myeongdong business district. The location is convenient and cheaper than staying in Myeongdong.

Hotel location
StayB Hotel Myeongdong is located between the "Euljiro 3-ga" station where Line 2 and 3 intersect and the "Chungmuro" station where Line 3 and 4 intersect. It is a 3-4 minute walk from both stations. There is no need to transfer to many attractions, saving time for changing trains.

If you take the Airport Express from Incheon Airport, you can transfer to Line 4 at Seoul Station and get off at Chungmuro ​​Station. Although Exit 6 is the closest, if you have large luggage, it is recommended to take Exit 7 where there is an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage.



Myeongdong Stay B Hotel opened in April 2015. When I checked in, it was only two years old, so it is still a very new hotel. The hotel lobby is colorful and has a sense of design.






There is a courtyard outside the lobby floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a sky garden on the rooftop (14th floor). If you are Traveling with a family or a group of friends, you can eat, chat, and watch the night view here.






The twin room we stayed in was 21 square meters in size. Because the space was small, the wardrobe door was a full mirror to increase the sense of space. I also liked the design of the windowsill, although I didn't sit there much.




The single bed is only 80cm wide, a little smaller than a standard single bed, but two beds together are still larger than a double bed! The curtains on the windowsill are electric, and the button on the wall next to it can control the height of the curtains.




There are two bottles of water in the refrigerator, and next to it are a kettle, cups and free tea and coffee bags.




There is also a socket next to the bed next to the closet, but it is a Korean standard and requires an adapter to use. If you don't bring an adapter, you can borrow it from the front desk for a deposit of 10,000 won. There are bathrobes, slippers, a hair dryer and a safe in the closet.



The design of the bathroom is very unique, with a bidet on the left, a sink on the right, and a protruding bathtub in the middle. It's rare to have walls on three sides when taking a bath, which is a strange feeling. In addition, because the bathtub has no overflow, you have to pay attention to the time when draining the water to avoid the water overflowing.




In addition to double rooms, the hotel also has triple rooms with 3 single beds and quadruple rooms with 4 single beds (Duplex Suite Room), which are very suitable for friends Traveling together and want to have their own beds without interfering with each other.





We had dinner at Chungmuro ​​Pork Chop (충무로돼지갈비), which was a 2-minute walk from the hotel. It was our first time eating BBQ in Korea and we didn’t know how to grill it. The guests at the next table enthusiastically told us how to grill it, and soon after, Ajumma came over to help us cut the meat.





The next day, breakfast is served at the HAZ restaurant on B1. The original price is 16,500 KRW, but guests staying in the hotel can enjoy a special price of 12,100 KRW. (7:00~9:30)




If there are many people, they will provide a buffet breakfast, and if there are few people, they will provide a set meal. We had the set meal that day, which was quite rich and tasted good.



Myeongdong Stay B Hotel is very close to two subway stations and can take three subway lines. The hotel is new and stylish, clean and comfortable, but the bathroom does not have a dry and wet separation. At a price of more than 2,000 yuan per night, the CP value is quite high.
