Many Tourists ignore Krabi Town and usually take a bus from Krabi Airport directly to Ao Nang Beach. Apart from going to Krabi Night Market on weekends, few people know that Krabi actually has many interesting places even during the day, such as the Emerald Pool, the 1,237-step Tiger Temple, and the hanging rocks in Hang Nak Hill Park, where you can enjoy both hiking and showing off.
Even fewer people know about Krabi nightlife. Few people know that the nightlife in Krabi is actually much more fun than that in Ao Nang! Not gonna lie to you at all. Ao Nang is completely a tourist area. There is a bar area called RCA and another one called Center Point, which is very close to Ao Nang Beach. However, apart from the ordinary beer bar, a few Go Go bars on the second floor, and the transvestite show on the third floor, there is really nothing else. Although there are many massage parlors in Ao Nang, it is difficult to find one even on an airplane, let alone a bubble bath.
Krabi Town is completely different! If this is your first time visiting the riverside tourist area in Krabi Town, you may be disappointed. There are only some ordinary bars, massage parlors and pedestrian streets. If this is your impression of Krabi town, it’s not surprising that many people don’t know that the real Krabi nightlife is far away from the tourist areas along the river.
To be more direct, Krabi's nightlife is mainly concentrated on Maharaj Road in the north of Krabi Town.
Here you can find many karaoke shops, each with many young and hot girls. Don't worry! The karaoke here is different from the one in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. It will not rip off customers with high prices. Karaoke bars in Krabi are like beer bars in Pattaya. They mainly serve locals. This will be explained in detail later. In addition to karaoke, there are also three excellent nightclubs here, and some local Krabi beauties come here to party. There is also a bubble bath shop here.
I’ll start with the riverside scenic area where tourists first come, and then talk about Krabi’s main nightlife area on Maharaj Road.
The photos and maps are below, remember to save them. Or go to Kaduoduo for more details.
Krabi Town riverside nightlife
The bar area along the Krabi River is mainly concentrated around Chao Fah Lane, near Thanon Isarah and Thanon Utarakit. Don’t worry about not finding it, take a look at the map below, it’s all marked. There are some ordinary bars and massage parlors here, which both boys and girls can go to (unlike the karaoke bar on Maharaj Road, which is only for boys).
The two busiest bars on the Krabi River are Cozy Bar and Chilling Bar. This place is mainly populated by backpackers and hippies, foreigners with dreadlocks. The price of a small bottle of beer is quite cheap, 80 baht, and a cocktail is only 120 baht. If your goal is beautiful women, then have a drink and go directly to Maharaj Road.
Karaoke bar in Krabi town
On Maharaj Road north of Krabi Town, you will see the real nightlife. Although most people here play here, as a foreigner, you are also very welcome. Why don’t many foreigners come? The reason is simple, I just don’t know! So I just spent time by the boring Krabi River! Another reason is that transportation is inconvenient, it is too far to walk there, and there are no motorcycles to take you there. If you rent two motorcycles, it only takes 10 minutes, but if you walk, it will take an hour.
As you can see from the photos, there are very nice beauties in the bar here. Although it is officially called a karaoke bar, it is very similar to a bar. Some of them do not have karaoke equipment at all, and are similar to go go bars. You can ask a girl to drink with you and play together. Some even skip this process and go directly to the manager to take away the beauty they like.
A large bottle of beer in a karaoke bar is 100 baht, and calling a girl is 200 baht. She will get a cup and drink your beer instead of ordering another lady drink. ST 2000 baht, average price.
Nightclubs in Krabi Town
In the same area on Maharaj Road, there are three nightclubs. Godang 8 (โกดัง8) has a typical Thai nightclub configuration, with many small round tables around which people gather in groups to share a bottle of whiskey and listen to live music. The most attractive thing is that the beauties in Krabi Town are concentrated here. As long as you are willing, they will basically be happy to have a drink with you. Of course you need to buy small cocktails for them, 120 baht. The beauties here have to work until 2 o'clock in the morning, and no one cares about what you want to do after that.
The other two nightclubs, one called Number One, just opposite Godang 8, have live music; the other is called Khwuan Fang (ควันฟาง), which has a large Isaan (Northeastern Thailand) style music hall and Thai folk music. The price is basically 120 baht for a large bottle of beer, 800 baht for a bottle of whiskey, and 1,500 baht for a bottle of red label.
Massage parlor in Krabi town
There are many massage parlors in Krabi town. The problem is that many of them are ordinary massage parlors, providing foot massage, Thai massage and oil massage. The masseurs also wear traditional massage clothes. However, there are two massage parlors in Seebaramee Lane 1. When you pass by, the girls inside will shout to you "Hello welcome, massage! Handsome man!", and oral sex is provided here.
Price: Thai massage 200-300 baht, oil pressure 300-400 baht (1 hour), HJ plus 500 baht (pink pin).
Bubble bath in Phuket Town
In the north of Phuket Town, past the Khwuan Fang nightclub, it is called Lee Lao Dee. There is also a Thai bath shop with the same name in Hua Hin. Although it is small, there are 7-8 pretty beauties ~ the whole set is 2,000 baht.
Weekend night market in Krabi Town
Krabi Night Market is the largest night market in southern Thailand. When night falls, many tourists come by songthaew from Ao Nang, and the Krabi Night Market becomes extremely noisy! There are a wide variety of fruits, so just come hungry! There are usually performances, so you can find a table near the stage to sit down and eat and watch.
The Krabi weekend night market is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night from 5pm to 11pm. If you don’t come here on weekends, there is also a riverside night market that is open every day, and a night market on Vicar Road that is mainly visited by locals.
