■Saigon Cathedral
Saigon Cathedral is probably a sightseeing spot you can't miss when you come to Ho Chi Minh City. This beautiful brick Catholic church is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City and is also known as the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is said to have been built during the French occupation in the late 19th century, and all materials from cement to screws were imported from France. The red bricks and two spires are very distinctive and are considered a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the building is undergoing restoration work and its full view cannot be seen, but its appearance is solemn and majestic. The restoration work is scheduled to be completed in 2027 (information as of October 2024).

■Dong Khoi Street
Dong Khoi Street in the center of Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. It is a fashionable shopping street lined with department stores, luxury brand stores, restaurants and cafes. In addition to a wide range of shops, the area also has the Opera House, a tourist attraction, as well as French colonial buildings and museums that allow visitors to experience the history of Vietnam. ■ Saigon Central Post Office
The Saigon Central Post Office is a popular tourist attraction located at the northern end of Dong Khoi Street. It was built in the late 19th century as a French colonial building with a distinctive pink-yellow exterior. The vaulted ceiling gives a sense of depth, thanks to an architectural technique designed to make the building appear wider. There are souvenir shops here that sell a wide variety of Vietnamese goods, including jewelry, figurines, fabrics, musical instruments, and cloth bags. The post office also offers postcards, coin collections, old stamps from the former North Vietnam, and other typical souvenirs, making it a must-see.

■ Reunification Hall
The Presidential Palace during the South Vietnamese regime era, formerly known as the Independence Palace, was also the site of the end of the Vietnam War. Now open to the public, many rooms can be visited, including luxurious furniture and the commander's quarters that served as a military base. The rooftop helipad used for emergency evacuations and the tanks on display on the ground give a vivid impression of the past, making it one of the most important places to visit to understand Vietnam's history.

■Ben Thanh Market
Ben Thanh Market was built in 1914 and renovated in 1950 after being destroyed in World War II. It is one of the largest large markets in Ho Chi Minh City and a must-see for many Travelers. The large number of shops here and the lively atmosphere give it a unique Southeast Asian feel. Today, the market also has many cute grocery stores, making it a good place to find souvenirs. The market is also characterized by its division into food, clothing, daily necessities and accessories, each with its own unique atmosphere. In the evening, a 'night market' is held, with attached food stalls and eating shops that are busy until late at night. The night market is a good place to enjoy excellent seafood food and drinks.

■Saigon Opera House
Located among skyscrapers in the city center, the Saigon Opera House was built as a concert hall during the French occupation. It is said that the beautiful, exquisitely decorated exterior was built to imitate the Garnier Opera House in Paris, France. The interior decoration is very shiny and elegant, giving people a sense of grandeur.
The opera house also offers a range of goods that can only be bought at the opera house, many of which are reasonably priced, making it the best place to find souvenirs. At night, the opera house is brightly lit, making it an even more elegant scenery.
