A very impromptu Trip to Singapore because my friend invited me to go see The Eras Tour with her. Words, Taylor Swift is her youthful memory from elementary school to high school. For me, not only do I want to make two memories with my friends, but I also want to witness the most popular moments in pop culture in this era when the distance between people is getting farther and farther. A powerful global common denominator, rush to this Southeast Asian music event.
Beyond that, the reason why I want to go to Singapore is also the childhood memories I left in the Lion City (banana wind and coconut rain, red walls and green tiles, once upon a time in Singapore.), and their influence on me. The deeply biographical film "The Social Network."
The movie tells the entrepreneurial history of Harvard University students Mark and Eduardo about friendship, money, genius, betrayal and social networks. For me, it is a "long farewell is the feast of youth" that each of us will do. In Love Story, which is an emotional experience, shortly after the legal battle between Mark and Eduardo ended, Eduardo traveled around the world and settled in Singapore. It has been fifteen years now.
So, during this trip, I accompanied my friend to sing "Long live all the magic we made" on the Times Tour, ate the "national breakfast" Yakun like ordinary tourists, visited museums and art galleries, and ate at the Fishtail We took photos beside the lions, checked in in front of Mark's company that has been renamed Meta, and visited the off-the-beaten-path mansion of Eduardo, the richest man in Singapore. We discovered a Singapore that was different from the tourist guide, more everyday and more private.
Even if you have not watched "The Social Network", you are welcome to open this post and let it take you into the fun-filled Singapore of light and shadow. Of course, you can also watch the movie during the trip like my friend did. From now on, Singapore, the City Nation, has established more emotional connections with us.
Left: Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Mark Right: Andrew Garfield, who plays Eduardo
DAY 1
There is no time difference between Singapore and China; download MylCA Mobile before entering the country app, fill out the immigration declaration; you can buy transportation cards at convenience stores. If you have a VISA card, you don’t need to prepare a transportation card. You can use the VISA card on the subway and bus to take it with you, which is super convenient; for taxis, use zfb’s overseas taxi app If you can get a taxi, a taxi in Singapore can easily cost you over 100 yuan, and a taxi at night will be even more expensive.
Singapore Airlines is famous for its safety and good service. I flew Singapore Airlines back and forth this time. Sure enough, whether it is a large or medium-sized aircraft, it is very stable in the ups and downs. The flight attendants are wearing Nyonya uniforms, and the service is considerate with a smile. Singapore Airlines also provides free Wi-Fi. Miraculously, the social platform IP will change to the Netherlands when used.
There are many in-flight entertainment items, including videos and videos from all over the world. You can also order the "Singapore Sling", a cocktail originated in Singapore that combines a variety of alcoholic drinks, juices and condiments. Everywhere is a reflection of Singapore's multiculturalism.
On the last night of Sin Chew, I went to the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel, the birthplace of the Singapore Sling, and had a drink. I think the one on Singapore Airlines tastes better, sweet and sour, like tropical fruit juice.
After arriving at Changi Airport, you can take the Skytrain to Jewel Changi Mall to see the waterfall. This is the Skytrain shot at the waterfall. It is even more amazing to see the night view of Singapore and the waterfall on the Skytrain. It's so beautiful, it's like Zootopia has come to reality.
The English logo of Jewel Changi is Jewel. Looking at the scenery outside the window, it is worthy of being rated as the best airport in the world many times. Changi Airport is also an attraction in Singapore.
The world's largest indoor waterfall and rain vortex, 40 meters high, looks like a pristine tropical rainforest during the day.
The steel structure on the top adds to the cyberpunk feel, turning a "heavy rain" into a show. It's raining.
There will be a sound and light show at night, which can transform into a butterfly pea flower.
It could also be Wonderland, where the Fairy Godmother is about to appear in Disney animation.
I have some wonderful pieces at Jewel Changi. The Merlion bear in Starbucks on the upper right is super cute!
Take the subway (MRT) to the hotel. Singapore is not big and it is very convenient to go anywhere by subway. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the subway in Singapore, and there are almost no advertisements in the subway. My friend said, Singapore Advertising laws should be very strict.
My friend booked the Westin Hotel on Marina Bay for the first night. The location and facilities of the hotel are very good. The only doubt is that there is no kettle in the room, but I think I can ask the front desk. It is not a big problem.
The view from the room.
My friend is a night walker, so it was already very late to pack up at the hotel, but we still went out for a walk. The building opposite the hotel is where Mark's Meta Singapore headquarters is located. If you work in it, the sea view should be very good.
My friend said that he chose this hotel because I could experience the feeling of putting Meta into the window.
A few steps further is the famous night market stall, Lau Pa Sat Food Court. Lau Pa Sat was originally established as a wet market and has become a symbol of Singapore with its octagonal appearance and decorative pillars. A cityscape.
The satay and seafood barbecue at Lau Pa Sat look delicious.
The Eras Tour was also on that day, so many fans gathered in the square after watching the concert. Fans from all over the world were all dressed up in bling bling and looked so happy.
Marina Bay was formed by artificial reclamation. Since the 1970s, it has gradually become the core business district of Singapore. Many companies and banks have set up their headquarters here. Walking along the way, you can see to many modern commercial facilities.
Passing ByteDance, my friend be like: It’s finally my turn to watch others working overtime.
Continuing wandering aimlessly in Marina Bay, we reached the central promontory of Marina Bay. We discovered the long coastal corridor, and on the other side were the Sands Hotel, the Ferris Wheel and other landmark buildings.
It was late at night and there was no one around. We started a hearty photoshoot, which can be said to be our first highlight moment in Singapore. It was already the early morning of the next day when we returned to the hotel.
When you come to a country with a high safety factor, don’t waste its nights. Let’s start a city roaming in the middle of the night. In the silent midnight streets, we can trace the shape of the city bit by bit, from the tall buildings to the Nanyang-style palaces to the luminous seaside.
Day 2
On this day, I experienced the essence of my P friend's travel - it is enough to do the big thing you want to do every day. So we only did two big things. My friend accompanied me to eat at Meta restaurant, and I accompanied my friend to watch The Eras Tour.
This Meta is not that Meta. The first time I knew there was a Meta restaurant in Singapore was on the Asian's 50 Best Restaurants list. At that time, Mark's company had just changed its name to Meta. Thinking of Eduardo in Singapore, I was curious, what would he do? Go to Meta restaurant?
Because of the fate of having the same name and being in the same place, when I came to Singapore this time, I wanted to go to Meta with my friends. It is Korean Fusion, a small white shop hidden on the street. The door number is not conspicuous at all. We even found it. For a while, when I walked in, it was also decorated in all white, with a lot of mirror elements used to match the open kitchen, which was very modern.
The waiter also communicated with us during the meal. Meta has been called Meta since it opened eight or nine years ago, which is derived from the Korean meaning of "breaking out of a cocoon and becoming a butterfly".
In the 2024 Asian’s 50 Best Restaurants announced a few days ago, Meta is still on the list, ranking 28th.
The menu is in classic blue and white. A tasting menu will be provided for each meal. The only drinks you need to choose.
I chose pumpkin kelp juice, and my friend chose ginseng and pear water. After making bold choices, we found that we were still too bold.
The first snacks were bean curd salad modified from Hainanese chicken rice. Yellow peppers were used as the chicken skin, and the bean curd skin underneath was made into a white wrinkled chicken shape. The taste was not outstanding but I felt the creativity.
The remaining snacks are completely the source of my happiness. I toast with the tuna tartar in my hand, the beef tartar is made into the form of Korean rice rolls, and the shrimp and caviar is put on bread to become a local The “Prawn” "Toast", salty and fresh. After eating these three dishes, I already want to give Meta full marks.
The other dishes are also remarkable, the Jeju Island Abalone Rice in Picture 2 , better than what I ate in Jeju Island in February It’s also delicious. Picture 6 is an addition to the menu. It’s a Japanese steamed egg with Korean seafood. The top one is Shirazko, which is amazing. Picture 4, which is also not in the menu, is a bit ordinary. If you want a unique Korean cold noodles, top it. Two pieces of beef in sauce are superfluous.
The most disappointing thing is the main dish in picture 5. Fine dining always makes the lamb chops delicious, but Meta uses Korean barbecue method to cook the lamb chops, served with lettuce and rice, and the Korean hot sauce tastes too much. Heavy, but fortunately the tea was served to clear the mouth after this one.
But overall I am still very satisfied. If you want to eat fine dining in Singapore, you can choose Meta restaurant. You will receive an email when you make a reservation on the official website. After the confirmation is successful, I will send the order to my friend. She also pretended to add "We did it". It's a pity that she hadn't watched "The Social Network" at that time, otherwise she would have known how meaningful this sentence was.

After leaving Meta, we took a taxi to the hotel. Singapore is very small, so we encountered many scenic spots along the way. We passed by the Old Hill Street Police Station. Street Police Station), a neoclassical architectural style, including details such as balconies, columns, louvers, and gables, painted in rainbow colors. As its name suggests, it is full of "old days" and "millennium" feelings.
I started preparing for the concert in the evening when I arrived at the hotel. I stayed at the PARKROYAL Marina Singapore that night. The room was a little smaller than the Westin, but it was only one stop away from the Singapore National Stadium. The road and location are very good.
When I was queuing up to enter, I saw people of all colors and speaking different languages, but all dressed up and with smiles on their faces. For the first time, there were people who came to participate in the world. Big party feel.
As an audience member, I admire Taylor's energy in singing and dancing for several hours without slacking off. She is so dedicated. I stood and watched less than half of the show before I was so tired that I wanted to sit down. The choreography of the concert was also amazing. It's great, and being in the warm atmosphere full of fans who are fully engaged, I am very excited to incorporate my own personal experience into such collective memories of Asia.
Taylor also mentioned during the concert that her mother spent her childhood in Singapore. Singapore should also be a very meaningful place for her!
As friends, I witnessed the people around me singing and dancing in the memories of youth all night long, and even shed tears twice. We were also "making the friendship bracelets" this night!
Of course there were some special moments in the concert. When the prelude to Love Story played, we looked around and expected someone to propose. When Enchanted reached its climax, we held each other's hands and raised them up, singing in duet. "This night is sparkling don't you let it go", "You Need To Calm Down", the whole place will turn into rainbow colors, I will take out the movie card and take a photo.
My favorite is the chorus of Cruel Summer's bridge, "Every night that summer just to seal my fate". Taylor's moving song is writing an emotional narrative shared by countless people, and the bits and pieces converge into the sound of the times. .
More than ten years have passed, and the summer camp is still unforgettable.

After the concert, my friend made an appointment with her friend who also came to watch the concert, and her friend’s friend to have supper together. I was so tired that I didn’t want to take another step, so I randomly picked a Thai restaurant on the street opposite the stadium.
The waiters in the store only spoke Thai. We first lamented how authentic Thai food was in this restaurant, and then found that it caused us a lot of trouble in ordering, but we finally ate it.
Among the people here, there are Chinese who have settled in Singapore, and there is also my sister who flew here from Taipei. For thousands of years, no matter how the world turns, music, art, literature, movies, food and other beautiful things will always remain the same. It’s a reason for people to get together.
The concert venue is only about a kilometer away from the hotel. Because I was too tired to walk, a friend took a taxi. I found out the next day that the price of a taxi in Singapore would double in the early morning. The short Journey cost 200+ yuan.
DAY 3
Start a tourist’s day by eating Ya Kun, the “national breakfast”. Ya Kun can be found everywhere in Singapore. There is one near the hotel where we stayed. On the way there, we also met the “Xiaopo Pharmacy”. The people from Slope are so cute that they call Singapore "Little Slope".
Yakun’s signature is kaya toast. The toast is crispy and crispy. The kaya butter filling is cold and sweet. There is my favorite poached egg on the side. You can add black pepper or Soy sauce, mix it well and eat it directly or dip it into toast.
Singapore’s coffee is also very unique, called Kopi, followed by different letters. Kopi D adds condensed milk, which makes it very sweet. Southeast Asians like to drink sweet coffee, and Kopi C adds skimmed milk. I ordered the long-awaited soy milk coffee, which was too sweet. The sugar-free Kopi was just right for us.
Then we took the bus to the National Museum of Singapore. It was a great experience to take the bus in Singapore, and the street scenery was very beautiful.
The National Museum of Singapore is also very beautiful. It is roughly divided into the Singapore History Museum and the Singapore Cultural Life Museum. The latter museum was not open when we went there, which was a pity.
Starting from the Lion City seven hundred years ago, the Singapore History Museum tells how Singapore gradually developed from the British colonial period, the dark Japanese colonial period, to the difficult post-war years. Today's prosperous garden city.
The two places that impressed me the most, one is that there is a large display screen in the museum, which continuously plays all the lands that Japan plundered during the war. I am ashamed to say that after watching this video, I Only then did I realize that Japan was so powerful at the time, and that Southeast Asia was also within its control.
Remembering that Milan Kundera said that growing up in a small country is sometimes an advantage. Because living in a small country, one has to either be a poor person with narrow vision, or become a well-informed "cosmopolitan".
Another thing is the "history of love and hate" between Singapore and Malaysia. Before I went there, I studied the history of Singapore and learned that Singapore was "expelled" by Malaysia. Malaysia needs Singapore. With its geographical blessing and natural resources, Singapore aspires to build a multicultural federation with it, but the Malays insist that Malaysia is a Malaysia that only belongs to the Malays.
But looking at the long display boards in the museum, I realized that Lee Kuan Yew even cried bitterly when he declared Singapore's independence. Singaporeans, who are "born in trouble", have a strong sense of crisis and self-identity. When people from Singapore look at Malaysia, they may be like wanderers, looking back at "their complicated life experience, with a kind of nostalgia for the vicissitudes of life, but in the end it will be extinguished."
In Singapore, I always feel that this country is so "worldly" and so self-conscious.
The History Museum also introduced Singapore’s urban planning, which made up for my friend’s regret of not going to the Singapore Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Unfortunately, it did not introduce much about Singapore’s three-dimensional greening system.
Downstairs of the History Museum is a science exhibition about the dangers of plastics. My friend lamented that when he saw Singapore’s attitude towards plastics, he could clearly feel that it is a developed country. Upstairs is a 3D exhibition of Singapore’s flora and fauna and ecological environment.
What I also like about the museums in Singapore is that after buying the ticket, you will get a sticker to put on your clothes. You don’t need to show the ticket stub wherever you go. It’s very convenient. If you don’t want to keep it on when you leave, just Stay on the museum walls.
Next to the museum is Singapore's "green lung" - Fort Canning Park. Fort Canning Park is very large, and the main building, coupled with the cloudy weather, has the feeling of an English manor, "Farewell to the Loved Ones".
From Fort Canning Park to the Merlion, you can feel the combination of Singapore's natural landscape and humanistic architecture along the way. It is such a vibrant city.
Passed by the Singapore Peranakan Museum.
We passed by the National Gallery of Singapore again, and seeing that we had enough time, we decided to go in and visit. As long as you hold a student ID card, you can get discounted tickets, and the staff is also very kind and tells us the best tour routes before the museum closes.
The art gallery itself is like a work of art. It has a solemn and solemn style in ancient Rome. It is connected by an architectural bridge between the old government building built in the 20th century and the former Supreme Court. The transparent glass curtain wall is connected to the ceiling, which is a combination of modern and classic.
The upper right and lower left are the original trial sites of the Supreme Court, which have been transformed into an art exhibition facility, which is wonderful.
The museum's collection is large-scale, mainly composed of modern art collections from Singapore and Southeast Asia. Many works are not simply hung on the wall, but placed on transparent "crystal easels" , as if floating in the air, the visual experience is very good.
Looking at it, I always feel that Southeast Asian art has an eternal theme: colonial scars.
We had an unexpected surprise when we walked out of one of the exhibition halls. The staff at the door told us that the person who had just watched the exhibition with us was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. Singapore is so small, why didn’t I meet the richest man Eduardo Saverin? Woolen cloth?
Leaved the art museum and continued towards the Merlion. On the way, we met an internet celebrity dessert. We used wafer biscuits to sandwich ice cream. We chose the mango flavor. It was delicious. The mango flavor was super. Authentic and super rich, it’s very enjoyable to bite into it! !
When I came to Singapore this time, in addition to preparing a movie card, I also brought a few photos taken in Singapore during my childhood, just for this kind of moment. Flowers in Singapore bloom year round, and people grow taller in a blink of an eye.
Then it’s time to get to the Merlion!
The design of the Merlion is inspired by the legend about the origin of the name of Singapore in the Malay Chronicles. Legend has it that a prince from the Srivijaya Kingdom saw a magical beast when he landed on Singapore Island on his way to Malacca. His entourage told him that it was a lion. So, the prince named the island "Singapore", which means "Lion City" in Sanskrit. But in fact, there are no lions in Singapore. What the prince saw might be a tiger (?
The fish tail symbolizes Singapore's fishery The history and the spirit of early residents who traveled across the sea and came south to make a living and survive.
Although there are many tutorials on taking photos of poses next to the Merlion, it is not that easy in practice because there are too many people and it is difficult to pick a good angle. Fortunately, my friend was ingenious and came up with a way to use a hat to take photos. In the posture of water, the water spouted by the Merlion is regarded as a symbol of wealth among the people. Let’s catch the water to welcome wealth!
There are many restaurants and bars next to the Merlion. We choose MOS, a fast food restaurant from Japan Burger Xiaozai, there is a Cantonese song called "Meguro", the MOS Burger in the lyrics "Sit down at the MOS Burger restaurant in Meguro District late at night" is MOS Burger
MOS. The specialty of Burger is the rice burger. The crust is made of white rice instead of bread, and the filling is often Japanese food. We ordered the curry beef patty rice burger, and the mango lemon tea was particularly delicious.
Starting from the Merlion Plaza, take the bus to the Marina Bay Sands Shopping Mall on the other side.
The design of the Marina Bay Sands Shopping Mall is very unique and has all the facilities. The transparent interior of the glass allows customers to shop under natural sunlight, although we arrived very late and did not experience it.
Before coming to Slope, my sister gave it to me when I was in high school. My wallet didn't work at all, so I wanted to buy a new one in Po. This shopping was easy. I had already thought of the target store from the beginning, which of course was——
Let's Revisit Eduardo's famous lines in "The Social Network". Eduardo in the movie is the best-looking man in a Prada suit I have ever seen (although there is only an angry black back here), #PRADA Singapore spokesperson Eduardo Saverin#
Screenshots from the movie "The Social Network"
After leaving Sands, we went to the Pan Pacific Hotel on Orchard Road. Orchard Road and Marina Bay are two affluent areas in Singapore. They are a little bit apart. At that time, I thought about whether to stay in Marina Bay, but because Eduardo’s company is in Uzbekistan, On Orchard Road, my friend was also very interested in the architecture, greening, etc. in the old business district of Orchard Road, so I chose this one.
I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is so beautiful. When we checked in, we asked the front desk to give us a room with a better location, and we were given a room in the middle of the floor. The balcony when we stepped into the room had such a view, with the fantastic green under the light. The column is also part of the hotel, with the swimming pool underneath.
The room has a direct drinking water faucet, which can be used for late night snacks. The fast food bought in Singapore is very delicious. The most impressive ones are the curry chicken instant noodles and tom yum rice noodles, which are curry-flavored and winter. The taste of Yin Gong is very positive.
The TV in this hotel can also cast the screen, but it can only cast to Netflix, not domestic video websites. My friend finished watching "The Social Network" on this night and helped us start the next day. The Social Network Day went viral in Singapore. The only drawback is that the air conditioner in this hotel is slightly loud, which affects the quality of sleep.
DAY 4
The first thing I did when I got up was swimming. The swimsuit I brought finally came in handy. The hotel’s swimming pool has a great view.
You can still see our room from the top.
Me: This photo has the atmosphere of "Spring" or "The Blue Door".
Friend: It should be the poster of "Love in Orchard".
After watching the movie, my friend found that the high-end apartment where Eduardo lives is opposite the hotel. It was another unexpected surprise, so we set off ( ̄︶ ̄)↗
This is what we walked out of the hotel. The Pre-School called Eton House seems to provide preschool services to children living nearby. When we walked back in the evening, we saw an aunt picking up the children from school.
Across a lane is Eduardo's apartment in the news. On the top floor of Ardmore Park, this is this very special building. It is said that Gemma in "Crazy Rich Asians" The home of the Singaporean noblewoman played by Chan is also here.
There is a road next to it called Anderson Road. I also think it is very cute. It translates to Andersen Road.
There are many wealthy people's residences nearby, and the architectural shapes are very interesting and worth admiring.
When I took out the photos to "check in", I felt very complicated. Sometimes I choose a place as a travel destination because there is already a history of personal experience in that place. After watching "The Social Network", I read countless stories about Mark and Eduardo in a parallel universe created by fangirls with love. Among them, there are many plots where Mark flew across the ocean to find Eduardo, and they walked together downstairs in Eduardo's apartment. .
And now I'm standing here.
Personally stepping into this real land aims to relive the place in my memory. The illusory words, images, and pictures that were so close to my heart finally intersect with the land under my feet. In this changing and fluid era, I think the most important thing is the connection between people. This is the moment when I build a connection with what I love.
There is also the CONRAD Hotel nearby. According to overseas reports, Eduardo likes the Filter, the only private members club of the Conrad Hotel in Singapore.
I walked to ION, the most exclusive shopping mall on Orchard Road, and ate at Jumbo Seafood. The most common comment I heard about Jumbo Seafood was "it's not as delicious as I said," but I think it’s delicious, and since you’ve been to Po, how can you not try it?
The signature crab is sweet and sour, and the large pieces of crab meat are easy to peel. The sauce can also be dipped into the steamed buns, and you can wear a cute crab napkin when eating.
After eating, we went to Eduardo’s B Capital, which happened to be walking along Orchard Road, the “Ginza of Singapore”. Orchard Road was once lined with various tropical fruit trees, “Orchard” It means "orchard" in English, hence the name.
Orchard Road is very unique. On the road, there are oriental architectural TANGS with design styles such as "green tile cornices and vermilion columns" that pay tribute to the Forbidden City. There are also Japanese-style shopping malls connected to Takashimaya and Ngee Ann City...these shopping malls are due to the opening of It has shown signs of the times over the past few decades, and there are newly opened modern shopping buildings such as ION opposite.
Walking on this road that Eduardo passes on his way to and from get off work, the sun is shining brightly, but the air has the humid and muggy feeling of a tropical rainforest climate, as if it will rain at any time. Looking back at this "Singapore showcase", this is where Eduardo left The days after California.
The whole Orchard Road is sparkling.
Finally arrived at the building where Eduardo’s B Capital is located. It’s on the 16th floor. Fill in the other half!
The coffee shop next to B Capital, Eduardo must have drank ALCHEMIST. The name of the coffee shop is The Alchemist. It is opened next to the investment company. It has a good meaning. The coffee shop is beautiful, the coffee is delicious, and even the music played is very tasteful. After checking it out, I found out that this store was originally recommended as a coffee check-in place on xhs.
There is a Starbucks with a special shape across the road. After reading the fanfic, I finally know which coffee shop Mark sat in while waiting for Eduardo to get off work, and what it looks like.
We originally had an itinerary that day to go to Sentosa, a famous tourist resort island where Universal Studios is also located, but we saw on the news that Eduarda has a luxurious private residence nearby. There is also a villa in Nassim District, so I decided to check it out. I like this kind of impromptu trip, but it is very meaningful.
Nassim Road is very spacious and quiet. There are luxury villas on both sides. Only at the intersection did I encounter many Filipino maids walking out with their dogs. The rest of the road was just the two of us. There was a kind of magic between movies and reality. feel.
Passing by a villa with a tall fountain in front of the door, you can smell the salty breath of the ocean; passing by a villa that exudes Japanese style and wabi-sabi texture, you find out it is the Japanese Embassy; passing by a British-style villa, on the door There were also very aristocratic badges; I even passed by a Chinese property because there were Spring Festival couplets on the door wall... Of course, I had to respect privacy and no photos were taken.
Finally we arrived at Eduardo’s mansion (Nassim Rd 33). It seemed to be built on a hill, with many houses connected together, surrounded by trees, and very secluded. After "this trip", we were satisfied and turned back. We just felt that the experience this afternoon was too special.
This is a place that will not be mentioned in any tour guide. It is "The Social Network" that gives it meaning and allows us to have this "adventure". If talking about Ardmore Park and B Capital, let me thank Singapore for turning my fantasy into reality, and the mood of Nassim Road is that the movie opened the door to a little-known side of Singapore for me, which is cooler than going to Sentosa. More, okay? !
The meaning of travel and words is exactly this dual interactive experience.
Walking back to the Pan Pacific Hotel to pick up our luggage, we met a Filipino maid walking her dog. She enthusiastically allowed us to say hello to the puppy. The puppy was so beautiful. Bar.
Then I took a taxi back to Marina Bay and stayed at the Jiao Feng Coconut Rain Hotel, which has red walls and green tiles. I mentioned it once upon a time in Singapore and I am looking forward to experiencing it. Hotel – Raffles Hotel.
The "Centennial Hotel, Half of Singapore's History" was built in 1886. It has an architectural style left over from the colonial period, with a pure white facade covered with lush tropical plants and suites with the names of famous guests in the past. There are high Victorian-style ceilings, copper light switches in the room, and a Sikh doorman from South Asia.
It is the world of yesterday and the old Nanyang dream that I want to feel.
The pink tea bag in the picture below is also called Singapore Sling. The brewed tea is pink. If you come to stay a few days earlier, it will be given as a gift. Dessert will be The Eras Tour themed macarons.
Raffles Hotel has a garden that tourists can walk in and visit, including the Blue Fountain on the upper right. The doorman said that Asians love to take pictures here. Indeed, it is Tiffany blue that Asians love very much.
The service at Raffles is also remarkable. Each suite is equipped with a butler, and there are iPads in the room that can cover all needs. We use iPads to cast images on each TV. Screen "Social Network", sharing my endless mood over the years.
That night, I lay on the big soft bed and fell asleep quickly. My friend stayed up all night and started watching fan fiction, crying until her eyes were swollen. The next day, I saw her bedside table piled with white tissues. I was shocked. .
But of course our last night in Sin Chew cannot be completely wasted in the hotel. We took a taxi to the west coast. There were many pharmaceutical companies along the way. Eduardo’s company B Capital likes to invest in pharmaceutical companies.
We found Mai Ji, who is almost all NUS students. We just wanted to feel the romantic trance of spending the last night in this cultural symbol. We agreed to go wherever we go together in the future. , we had to go to the local Mai Kee on the last night, which was a souvenir for the two of us.
While toasting with spicy chicken wings, I mentioned that Mark was a Taurus. We both looked at each other and smiled. We also discovered that the papers on the tray were BRAZIL and SINGAPORE. Eduardo’s hometown is Brazil. What a coincidence.
We visited Holland Village again. Holland Village has a bohemian style. Like Chinatown and Little India, it is the embodiment of Singapore's multiculturalism. I originally fell in love with a durian gourmet restaurant recommended on xhs, but when I arrived, I found out that it was closed, so my friend bought a cup of Mr. Coconut.
I found out that it was Eduardo’s birthday in a few days. I packed a colorful cake in BreadTalk and took it back to the hotel. I added one more funny experience in life and celebrated the birthday of Singapore’s richest man in Singapore at my own expense. Everything with colorful flavors is delicious!
It’s time to return to the hotel and make the reservation for the Long Bar. The Long Bar is the birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail mentioned earlier. The Singapore Sling was created by Yan, who was originally from Hainan Island. Invented by Chongwen bartender between 1910 and 1915, Long Bar has a stronger alcohol flavor, but I still prefer the one on Singapore Airlines.
The wooden bar, leather seats, unique fans and old black and white photos on the wall all make people feel like they have traveled back to the last century. They also provide free linen bags filled with peanuts, which can be peeled and put away The shells are thrown on the ground. I can’t remember when the tradition came from the British aristocrats or the dock workers, but there are definitely not many opportunities to “throw rubbish anywhere” in Singapore nowadays.
Many people come here to queue up. Fortunately, hotel guests can make a reservation and walk in. They can lean against the window to have a drink and laugh, and peel peanuts in the dim light, just like "Coffee Society" in Woody Allen's narrative. 》.
On a humid tropical night at Raffles, with the peanut shells all over the floor under the flickering lights of Long Bar, and the blue and white candles on the colorful cakes, Xingzhou became Baudelaire in my heart In Paris, "There is a beautiful and rich place, which people call the ideal paradise. I longed to travel there with an old lover."
When I was at Raffles, I couldn’t help but compare it with the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. The decoration styles are similar, and they are both the oldest hotels in the two countries and a reflection of their cultural atmosphere. The hardware facilities are still better than Raffles. Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is built on the Chao Phraya River and is much more cost-effective. If you come to Singapore and want to experience Raffles, you can use the booking app several times. DAY 5
On the last day in Slope, we had brunch at Singapore Coffee in the Raffles Hotel. The colorful cake rolls and salmon waffles were delicious, and it was indispensable to drink a cup of Nanyang specialty with a blue and white straw. Kopi.
Sitting next to us were three elite men in suits and ties, talking about business, and my friend and I were also talking about business... the romance of the giant crocodile.
While showing me her eyes that were swollen from crying, my friend said: From now on, I will be able to say that I cried all night for a rich man in a luxury hotel. Me: Then I want to say that I celebrated the birthday of Singapore’s richest man at Raffles Hotel! !
After we finished speaking, we fell together laughing. My friend concluded: Only fangirls can be so humorous. I added that what is happier than being a fangirl is that you have a fangirl friend who will go crazy with you.
The last stop in Singapore, Capital Spring Sky Garden, overlooks the entire city and the Strait of Malacca. It is not open on holidays and weekends. It is usually open from 8:30-10:30. 14:30-18:00. It's free if you make a reservation several weeks in advance on the official website, but if you just want to go that day, don't worry, the ticket is SGD 10 per person and you will get a bottle of soft drink.
I saw the crossroads of the sea - the Strait of Malacca, the throughput is really huge.
I think it is reasonable to consider this as the last stop in Singapore, because you can recognize almost all the places you have visited in Singapore, including the Meta building and the unique Sands. Hotels, stadiums, Orchard Road, the West Coast Chimneys and the Raffles Hotel... Recognizing places and reminiscing with friends is a perfect farewell.
After going downstairs, I ordered a cup of latte from Arabica at the door. I really admired the people in the slopes for their greening ability. Not only is it beautiful, it is said that the three-dimensional greening of each building is mandatory. , in order to make the city’s overall greening rate meet the requirements.
Go back to the hotel to pick up your luggage and head for the airport. It doesn’t take much time to get to the airport. Moreover, the security check at Changi Airport is done at the boarding gate before boarding the plane, which is equivalent to a diversion. , the speed will be faster.
Byebye, Singapore.

Just treat this post as a love poem, dedicated to my close friend of the 20th generation and our journey to the tropical spring night era together. Dedicated to my childhood "when I was happiest", and also dedicated to the ghost ship "The Social Network", it may be the best thing that happened to me in my cyber youth.
“So much time, so many people and events, it seems that those two lines of formulas are still resting on the glass windows of Kirkland, and there are constantly distant poems coming from far to near.”
