The forest covered with thick snow is so much like "The Chronicles of Narnia" and like entering a fairy tale world, with small animals jumping in front of you at any time. If you only have time to stay in Sapporo city and don’t have time to go to Asahikawa Zoo, then go to Maruyama Park + Hokkaido Shrine + Maruyama Zoo. The three places are next to each other, so you can arrange a half-day visit, and it is only a ten-minute drive from Sapporo Station.
Compared with the well-known Odori Park, Enshan Park is much larger. You can’t even see the surrounding buildings, which makes people mistakenly think that it is in the wild. There is also a hiking trail. I don’t know if it can be climbed in winter, but for snowstorms, Season, just being in the park is very satisfying. There is a small slope in the park, and there are free tires to slide on. There are many children playing. There is a mother sitting on the top of the slope holding her child, and she has been helping others push the tires. I am so touched. You can go to the Hokkaido Shrine to draw a lot. The water dripping from the hand wash at the door actually froze into an ice flower, which is so crystal clear and beautiful.
One detail: The vending machines here are the color of tree trunks. It’s the first time I’ve seen such a color. It’s so thoughtful.
