My boyfriend and I stayed in Beijing for five days. Places to book: 1. The Forbidden City 2. National Museum 3. Tiananmen Square 4. No. 5 Tiananmen Gate Tower. Memorial Hall 6. Great Hall of the People 7. Military Museum 8. Capital Museum 9. National Museum of Natural History 10. Chinese Archaeological Museum 11. Tsinghua University 12. Peking University.

Tiananmen Square: The Jinshui Bridge outside the tower is a one-way street that only allows entry and not exit. If you have already made an appointment to visit the memorial hall, national museum, or the Great Hall of the People, it is recommended to visit first. If you have already crossed Jinshui Bridge and want to return to the square, you must take a detour for half an hour. Forbidden City: Reservation must be made 7 days in advance at 20:00. Afternoon tickets can enter as early as 11 o'clock, so try to go as early as possible. Ticket inspection will stop at 15:30, and the museum will close at 16:30. The Forbidden City: There are two recommended routes to Wumen: ① via Chang'an Avenue - Tiananmen Square - Duanmen - Wumen ② Donghua Gate - Tongzi River - Corner Tower - Wumen. Temple of Heaven: You must go there, it's so beautiful! However, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is not lit up every night. It only lights up on Fridays, Saturdays, and certain holidays. It usually opens at 19:55 along with the municipal streetlights and closes promptly at 21:30. Yuanmingyuan: Enter through the east gate. Because the burnt Western style building is closer to the east gate, visiting here first has greater historical significance.

Summer Palace: It is very large and does not require registration at every attraction. You can choose some key attractions, such as Suzhou Street, Long Corridor, Stone Boat, Buddha Fragrance Pavilion, Baoyun Pavilion, Grand Theater, and Seventeen Arch Bridge. It should be noted that do not go on Mondays, as many attractions in the park are not open on Mondays! Badaling Great Wall: It is recommended to only visit the highlights. You will be very tired after climbing all the way. Pay attention to safety and wear non slip shoes. Prince Gong's Mansion: The former residence of He Shen. It is known as the 'Prince Gong's Mansion, half of the Qing Dynasty's history', and its historical significance is very significant. Shichahai: No tickets or reservations required. You can arrive between 4pm and 5pm, the sunset is really beautiful! You can experience the rickshaws of old Beijing, or ride a bicycle to slowly explore, the scenery is very pleasant.
