I was in Batanes from December 16th to 20th. The flight departed from Clark and arrived at about 11:30 am on the 16th, more than half an hour earlier than expected. Thumbs up. I met Kuya Robert (Tagalog, similar to big brother) and arrived at the hotel smoothly. P18 can be seen on the map. It is basically at the southwest end of the island, IVANA. The hotel is at the bridgehead of the Spanish Bridge (Bridge of San Jose), a small stone bridge P17. There is no need to go there specially. As a Chinese, it is not strange. It is very close to the lighthouse and beach next to it, and the Honesty coffee shop is also nearby.

In order:

Picture 1 is the nearby San Jose Church. The white church is very beautiful. I later discovered that most of the churches in Batanes are white, which is different from other parts of the Philippines.

Pictures 2-3, opposite the church is the Ivana Lighthouse. This is a long embankment. Because the wind and waves are relatively strong, it has a sense of a safe haven. The lighthouse cannot be climbed. It emits green light P14 at night. I thought the lighthouse was all red. On the boat to Sabtang, you can take a group photo of the church and the lighthouse from the sea.

Picture 4 is Ivana's welcome Arc. How should I put it? It's like a welcome sign when entering a town. This is a feature of the Philippines. Every village and town has it. It varies in form depending on the economic situation.

Picture 5 is a school on the road. Elementary school is similar to the combination of primary and junior high school in China. Most Filipinos go to school near their homes, and even universities are nearby. So they have many schools of all kinds, and they are not large in scale.

Pictures 6-7 are the Honesty Coffee Shop, which is also a popular online celebrity and the only coffee shop here. This is an unmanned convenience store with drinks and various souvenirs. It may be commonplace for Chinese people, but this kind of store is still quite rare outside of China. It also shows that it is very safe here. After leaving the coffee shop, just find a gap on the roadside and walk inside, and you can walk to the beach. P8 is a pig house next to the beach. Because it is open, the pigs are tied with ropes, which is also very special. PS Don't buy pork yourself in the Philippines because it is very fishy. I don't eat pork dishes much, unless it's Adobo (braised in China) or fried, which doesn't smell fishy.

Pictures 9-11 are the beach. The Pacific Ocean is still very windy and the beach is not that fine, but it's natural and primitive with no people. It depends on your mood and is very comfortable. There are a lot of shells, mainly various conches.

Pictures 12-13 are the Nakurang Observation Deck on the beach. This is Kuya Robert's private property and guests staying in the hotel can enter. You can take photos of life on the rocks close to the cliff, but Robert's photos of me are not that good, haha. The cliff is windy, be careful not to fall off. He raised a few sheep, I fed them and returned to rural life.

Pictures 14-15 are today's lunch and dinner, made by the old lady, delicious!
