Hong Kong and Macau are very close to Taiwan, and can be reached in less than 2 hours by flight. They are popular choices for many people to Travel abroad. This time, I planned a 5-day, 4-night Trip to Hong Kong and Macau. I planned to visit Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour, Ngong Ping, and Victoria Peak first, and then go to Macau for two days. When planning the itinerary, I found the Hong Kong FunPASS, which seemed to have a high CP value and the attractions itinerary also fits the travel route. After using it, I found that it is not only very cost-effective, but also very convenient to use~ Next, let's take a look at where I went on the Hong Kong and Macau trip!
Unlock new ways to play in Hong Kong and Macau [Hong Kong FunPASS]
Before going abroad, many people are used to buying tickets for attractions in advance, because the price of online ticket booking is usually cheaper than the on-site ticket price, and you don’t have to spend too much time queuing to buy tickets. This time when I booked tickets online on Klook, I found "Hong Kong FunPASS" and found that the attractions included in it are very similar to the Hong Kong and Macau travel routes I arranged, so I can play together. What's more special is that it actually includes transportation tickets, even Hong Kong EasyCard "Octopus Card", Hong Kong Airport Express, and even Hong Kong and Macau Ferry tickets can be exchanged. It's so convenient!
I was so experimental that I bought a Hong Kong PASS right away to give it a try! I received a redemption code right after placing the order. The card activation process was also very simple. I downloaded the "HONG KONG FUNPASS" APP, entered the redemption code, personal information, and the date of use, and that was it. After confirming the time, I could directly pick up the ticket and make an appointment. It was really convenient! The best thing is that the phone can be bound to multiple cards at the same time. This APP integrates all the tickets together, so I don't have to worry about being in a hurry and not being able to find the ticket on site. It is a blessing for independent travel.
This trip included a one-day Tour of Victoria Harbour, Victoria Peak and Ngong Ping, which are must-visit places in Hong Kong, and then a two-day trip to Studio City in Macau. I found that except for flights, accommodation and restaurants, which need to be booked separately, almost all other attractions are included in the PASS! In addition, I also found hidden attractions that I had not discovered before, such as the "Monopoly Dream World" on Victoria Peak. I originally thought it should be a more suitable attraction for parents and children, but I unexpectedly found that it is very fun here, and adults can come together! In addition, I also like the "Hong Kong Big Bus" day tour and the "Macau Open Top Bus" night tour. It is very interesting to shuttle through the streets and alleys of Hong Kong and Macau to see the scenery and listen to the guide while driving along the way!
【Hong Kong FunPASS】 Make your trip more fun
On the first morning, I took the Airport Express from Hong Kong Airport to Hong Kong Station and started a day trip to Victoria Harbour. During the day, I strolled around Tsim Sha Tsui and the Avenue of Stars. At night, I took a luxury yacht to enjoy the night view of Victoria Harbour and saw the wonderful Symphony of Lights. On the second day, I set off to Tung Chung Station. The view of the Ngong Ping Cable Car was super beautiful, and there were planes taking off and landing from time to time. After lunch at Ngong Ping Market, I continued to visit the Tian Tan Buddha. In the evening, I returned to the city and visited Sky100 at Kowloon Station to see the night view of Hong Kong. On the third day, I arranged a day trip to Victoria Peak. I found that FunPASS had the Hong Kong Big Bus to choose from, and the red line stopped at the Peak Cable Car Station, which just solved the troublesome transportation problem! So we set out from the Star Ferry Pier in the morning, enjoyed the scenery of Hong Kong Island along the way, and then took the Peak Cable Car to the Peak for fun.
On the fourth day, I was preparing to go to Macau. I was still considering whether to take the bus or the boat. Later, I found the Cotai Water Jet ticket from Hong Kong to Macau on the Hong Kong and Macau version of FunPASS. The transportation time only takes about 1 hour, and after arriving at Taipa Pier, I can directly transfer to the new train. The hotel shuttle bus in Haoyinghui is super convenient! After checking in at the hotel, we started to visit the shopping streets and eat delicious food in Studio City. In the evening, we went to the Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal to take an open-top bus for a night tour. The driver drove very fast, and the guide introduced Macau attractions in different languages, and we also enjoyed it on the bus. The Dancing Water Cable Car to the spectacular Wynn Palace is super fun!
On the last day, after finishing the breakfast buffet at Studio City, we walked to the Venetian next door to see the teamLab exhibition. The Macau exhibition hall was huge, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. We took photos for a full 2 hours, and the space on our phone was almost full of photos! In the afternoon, we took the unique 8-shaped Ferris wheel at Studio City to see the Macau city view, and then took the hotel shuttle bus to Macau Airport. We were very satisfied and returned to Taiwan after a very rich five-day trip to Hong Kong and Macau.

Is [Hong Kong FunPASS] useful?
I used the Hong Kong PASS for almost all of my trips to Hong Kong and Macau these days. It was smooth and convenient all the way. I calculated that I saved about 20% of the travel expenses, which I think is really worth it! What I think is great is that it has a 14-day validity period, which is very flexible. For example, I am a rainy day person. I want to go to outdoor attractions but I am afraid of encountering rainy days. With the PASS, I can confirm the weather before departure and then pick up the ticket. If I am sure that the weather is bad, I can change to other indoor attractions, or swap the itinerary with other days, so that the weather will not affect my travel mood! (But you can't regret it after picking up the ticket~)
Hong Kong FunPASS actual experience evaluation
Convenience: ★★★★★
Hong Kong FunPASS collects all tickets in one APP, and categorizes them according to the cards. You only need to enter basic information when opening the card, and you can directly make reservations or pick up tickets later. The validity period is 14 days, which can be used flexibly. It is super convenient to use!
Itinerary planning: ★★★★★
If you are a itinerary control like the editor, then it is very suitable to use Hong Kong PASS! Because in the APP, you can see the business information, reservation time, redemption method, etc. of the attractions, and arrange the itinerary with ease. It should be noted that some tickets need to be reserved in advance, remember to check the instructions first.
Price: ★★★★☆
This time in Hong Kong and Macau for five days and four nights, we saved nearly 20% of the travel expenses, which is very worthwhile! However, the CP value of PASS depends on the choice of ticket, so it is recommended to calculate whether the ticket price exceeds PASS before purchasing!
On-site use: ★★★★☆
Every minute and every second of the trip is precious. This trip used Hong Kong FunPASS to enter the Taiping Cable Car Station, which had a long queue regardless of weekdays and holidays. It took less than 30 minutes to successfully board the cable car, greatly reducing the waiting time. Some tickets cannot be directly scanned by QR code for entry, and need to be exchanged for paper tickets on site. However, after the actual exchange in these 5 days, I feel that the process is also quite fast. In addition, a small suggestion, you need to have an Internet connection to open the ticket with the APP. If you are worried that the speed of the site is too slow, you can also open the ticket in advance!
Recommended for free travel [Hong Kong FunPASS]
If you happen to be planning a free trip to Hong Kong and Macau, I think you can really try Hong Kong FunPASS! Because not only can you save your travel expenses to eat delicious food, buy souvenirs (or go to the casino to play), but you can also quickly pass through the tourist attractions and save waiting time in line. And you don’t have to decide 100% of the itinerary in advance. You can decide which tickets to use based on factors such as weather, activities, mood, etc. during the trip. It is very suitable for free travel on a whim!
