Jeju Island Aewol Seaview Cafe 해지개. First row by the sea, beach, parasol, great holiday atmosphere

Each of the sea view cafes in Jeju Island has its own characteristics. This time, I found three cafes with different styles on my self-driving Tour of Jeju Island. I like each one very much. Let me introduce the first one, "해지개", which is located on the beach of Aewol Hall. 해지개 means the place where the sun sets. No matter what season it is, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in the cafe.

If you head north along the coast from the most famous "Spring Cafe BOMNAL" in Aewol, you will first pass by the white cafe "Jimbaran Beach" (짐바란비치), and then walk forward to see the orange building "해지개".

The palm trees, beaches and thatched umbrellas in the outdoor area of ​​the cafe are very exotic and full of holiday feeling.





The interior of the coffee shop is decorated in Korean style. The space is quite spacious and has various seating areas.




The view from the second floor is also great. We arrived early, and although the outdoor area was almost full, there were not many guests indoors, so you can choose the seats you like.









There is a large square table on the top floor, which is commonly seen in Korean dramas. When the sun is not too scorching in the evening, it must be very comfortable to sit here, enjoy the breeze and watch the sunset.




"해지개" is a bread and cafe shop with professional bakers making bread. There are about thirty kinds of bread on the long table, both salty and sweet, making it difficult to choose. I want to try every kind!




The apple bread has a very cute shape. Corn bread is also among the top sellers.







My Travel companion ordered a mandarin orange sparkling drink (₩9,000), which tasted quite refreshing.



Garlic French Bread (Manon Baguette) has a strong garlic aroma and is said to be delicious. (Americano ₩7,500)



We ordered grapefruit sparkling drink (₩9,000) and sesame latte (₩9,000). The former is sour and sweet, which is very suitable for me who doesn’t like sweet food, while the latter has a strong sesame flavor. Both drinks are delicious.



I chose one sweet and one salty bread. The salty bread was quite filling, and the sweet fruit bread would be even more perfect if it was replaced with tart crust.



The sea view cafe "해지개" will only open in December 2022. It has a beautiful sea view, quality decoration, and the drinks and bread are also of high quality. No wonder it became an Instagram check-in hotspot shortly after its opening. If you go to Aewol Coffee Street, you might as well walk a little further inside and enjoy the blue sea view at "해지개" and enjoy a leisurely afternoon!
